Fair! What's that? There is no fairness in war. At trade time it is war. Clubs are after their best possible outcomes. White has shown a bit in the second half of the season. Before that he has been ordinary. No way we can command anything but an average pick for him. In fact the Pies are taking a big gamble if he is to be a Cloke backup. If Cloke goes down with a serious injury it is a risk to think White will step up to the plate anywhere near the Cloke level.
Also, Cloke sucks. Give me Tippett any day. Oh wait, someone did! I thought White was going to become a powerful asset for us next year. But give me Buddy any day. Oh wait....someone did!
True that. McGuire is the biggest hypocrite to ever live. EVER. I am not exaggerating here. I believe him to be the biggest hypocrite to ever live in the history of mankind. Or should I say, hippocrite."Take me down to the Paradise City where the grass is green and the Swans win pretty."Comment

Nice thought Blood.. Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win a war. Wait and see everyone. Getting dudded is not on our agenda. (I do not count poor donuts). If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

The majority of clubs argue that the club will eventually get rewarded for the loss of a free agent by way of having more salary to spend on targeting another club's free agent.Comment

If White is open to going to any Melbourne club, I don't see why the Saints wouldn't be interested. They need a forward who can ruck, as they've lost McEvoy, and they now have loads of draft picks around the 20 mark. We should be talking to them. They should have a bit of change in the cap as well. It's an option they should look at instead of going after Billy Longer.

I think the following story makes more sense than the swapping of players for picks in the high 30's and 40's

So much for dreaming about us trying to get pick 2 or even 1.Nothing like a good light bulb moment.Comment

BTW quick question
How many players can the Giants pick ahead of the draft picks ?
I was very impressed by young NSW player Jake Barrett but noticed he will be selected by the Giants in next month's NAB AFL Draft.
Barrett is from Temora in the Riverina and will be taken as a zone selection. The 17-year old is a tough on-baller with a great work rate and endurance and played rugby league until the age of 15 before switching to AFL.
Barrett is the first cousin of Hawthorn premiership player Luke Breust and is a second cousin of former Dally M medallist and NRL star Trent Barrett."be tough, only when it gets tough"

Jonothan Marsh is an interesting pick. He's very fast and really tested well in the combine. He is a bit bigger than Harrison. He could go anywhere from the teens onward. In the the championships he made a long run at high speed to take a great overhead running mark inside 50 that was very impressive. I think he's worth serious consideration at pick 15. If we can keep both brothers it could negate the WA go home factor.Comment

Jonathon certainly is an exciting prospect and we are a chance i think to pick him up
Now that our forward line is stacked i think swampy's brother would be very exciting .......jonathon is 191cm and a very quick as forward......he can be developing in the ressies for a couple of years and have our Rooster go back to the wing where if he can get his fitness up he is just damaging!

i read an article earlier in the year about marsh. it said that marsh was a little annoyed that he grew too much because that meant they shifted him forward when really he wanted to play midfield. i think its for this reason that we consider getting him. this means that he could very well become a big bodied midfielder to give kennedy a hand in that department. yes, we have a stack of great mids but none the size of kennedy. the fact that he's probably played midfield for most of his career, before this sudden shift forward, supports this. also, the fact that he's played forward and as the prospect video shows, means that he can drift forward and kick goals when needed, a vital aspect on which our structures are built. and then of course, playing with your brother will benefit both of them enormously, in terms of motivation, how much they enjoy living in sydney, etc etcComment

I think White wants to go to Collingwood because it will be a good association for his business to latch onto. Suddenly there are a lot of extra eyeballs on his clothing brand and cub loyalty/sponsors will lead to tremendous opportunities to grow his label in the present and future. Moreso if his form holds on the other side of the white line.
Perhaps?
Why does he have to go to Collingwood to sell clothes? What kind of fashion is it anyway -- Prisonware?
I think he better concentrate on his footy. He's only had 3 good months in his career.Comment
