A good thing it isn't going to rain. Adelaide oval is not the easiest place to play in the wet. The cricket pitch area tends to get a bit muddy and sticky. The other thing is you never kick against the wind in the first quarter in the wet there because by the last quarter you will run out of petrol defending the wind end goal.

But seeing it is going to be a good day it doesn't matter unless there is a huge early breeze but can't see that happening. Scoreboard end usually gets more goals. But don't know what effect the new stands will have.

I will be watching on telly. Looking forward to the game if we lose there could be a very smashed up telly in the street tomorrow night.

Hope the tap on the shoulder is from Longmire, telling him that Towers is taking his place in the side.

Ill be having a bit on the crows to be honest, to at least offset partially the cost of the trip to radelaide if we get beat. Got a bad feeling about this one, but the swannies have suprised me many a time, so hoping for a good suprise today.

Good weather and a dry track would certainly be a good start. Cant wait to see the new adelaide oval - willl be a shame about the crows fans there though

Just watched a bit of the Hawks Fremantle game and was amazed by the field kicking of the Hawks. They play an AFL game like its Soccer. In Soccer, if you have a lot of defenders on one side of the field, you transfer the ball to the other side of the field, where you can find some space. If that does not work, you come back to the other side again until an opening appears. You eventually find an opening as you catch a defender exhausted or out of position. The important thing is keeping possession.

This is a lesson for the Swans. The Hawks are playing like AC Milan, patiently keeping possession, while the Swans a playing like a mid-tier EPL team, kicking long down the line and hoping for lucky crumbs or a big mark!

Ac milan might not be a good example, they are mediocre at best.. bayern munich is a better example lol

If he wants his AFL career to happen, then he needs to show something worthwhile tomorrow.

Well he needs to do some tapping himself. And mostly to advantage or otherwise he should definitely get his own tap from horse

An absolutely stunning day in adelaide - certainly going to be a dry track. New ground looks amazing from the sky, my flight went right over the top at low altitude.

Time to stand up boys in red and white - carn the swannies!!

So the usual side went over I gather, no Nankervis or BJ? Towers the only emergency? Like to see the true Sydney turn up today. I am hoping Longmire will have got the message from the press asking questions about his questionable decisions in last weeks game. I just hope he isn't an Ostrich because that truck is coming LOL. I am a bit worried that we have decided on a very defensive line up. The unfortunate thing is that probably means Harry gets the vest, which I think is a bad move. Adelaide have chosen to bring in speed and mobility, we should be mindful of that as it could hurt us if we go too slow. Bit worried about the Crows HB's Jaensch, Brown & Smith. They are all reasonably fast. ROK will be giving away not only height but I think pace as well on the very mobile Hartigan. Bit worried about that match up if it happens. Truck will get Pyke, Talia will get Buddy but Hartigan might go to either Rohan or ROK. They are quite tall in defense, five over 194cm.

Most of the betting subscriptions come out on Friday mornings. So I can only assume that they have picked Adelaide.

Odds last night on the Hawks/Freo match are $1.90 ea.

I thought he competed OK last week, but was largely ineffectual.
That needs to change, if he is to be a regular in the seniors...

                            Starting with:

                            1) Tap to our advantage.
                            2) If the ball hits the deck, go after it with intent...He's a pretty big boy, needs to use his size.
                            3) Take some marks around the ground.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

Fair move back to Sydney in the last few hours, 1.97 into 1.92 on the exchange. Volume not real heavy though...

                                Hardly.

The exchange moved a bit when McEvoy came out, but Hawks jumped at around 1.80 and Freo 2.24 on the exchange.

It was a weird week in that market. They opened even, all the money was for Freo on Monday morning until Fyfe and Dawson were suspended. At that point Hawthorn were as much 2.26 but slammed in late Monday. They came in again when Barlow was confirmed out.
