      Good, strong finish. Well-played swans.

Sheesh... it seems when the other team lowers their intensity for 3 seconds the swans get them.

Shaw, ROK Mal & LRT were not the best today. That was first half but I stand by it. Mal mad 11 clangers, Shaw 4, LRT hardly bothered the statisticians except for one goal & ROK got 14 many of which were very iffy. He did manage to get a few good ones but really not good enough for AFL footy. too slow too his man was killing us, tearing us apart in the second & third. New generation needs to come through, after all it was the new generation that won this one; Parker, Buddy, Joey. both Mal & Macca got a lot of it and wasted it too. Seemed to kick to each other quite a lot.

Admit I called the game a bit early but we looked like @@@@e out there.

Last quarter was quality. the rest needs to be looked at. The first we kicked goals but there was a lot of scrappy play, ball being given up on a platter. We were just lucky they were so inept. Second was terrible. Third was only passable. Last was sublime.

We need to look at LRT, Shaw, ROK & Derrickx.

Next week bring in Biggs, Naismith, Tip & BJ.

I thought LRT did really well - you sometimes don't pick up the work he does without the ball if you are not at the ground. He never has been a big possession getter, but when fit, he always plays the role he is asked to play, and is a genuine competitor. I have no qualms with what he did on Saturday.

Thought Derrickx looked better than the week before, but he doesn't realy contribute a lot around the ground. Can't say I really noticed ROK's game, and I do agree that Shaw had a shocker. Shaw is getting enough of the pill, but his disposal was woeful on the weeked.

Making 4 changes to a winning side is a big call. If Tippett is fit, obviously he will come in (but I doubt he is). Other than that, maybe Biggs for Shaw, but given we are at home at the SCG next weekend, not sure I'd make any other changes at this time.

Naismith is a rookie, and therefore not currently eligible to play. Yes, we could promote him to the Seniors list for AJ, but do we NEED to do so, and can we justify it it?

I think he will be a very good player in a year or two, but sorry, not yet.

Biggs did well at the end of last year for us, would be a great to see him get another opportunity. His kicking / decision making was a standout. If that's at the expense of Shaw that doesn't really concern me. I doubt they would drop him though, not yet anyway.

                          WTF.

LRT was outstanding. He gave us a target, crashed packs and his off the ball work (it is a team game) is obviously not appreciated by you. Glad it is by the coaches!

When he gets a bit of fitness back, with his versatility, LRT would be one of the first picked.

LRT was half the reason that Buddy did well.

Shaw is going to improve every week.

Mal had a shocker. It won't continue that way.

I have to reluctantly say the ROK is in the worst form of his career, which is not far from over.

Derrikx is probably worth his spot if he can hold his own in the ruck simply to give Pyke a rest up forward but he will be gone as soon as Tippett is ready.

Naismith would probably offer more but is still a rookie, we may need to upgrade someone else depending on injuries.

Toby would probably similar value to Tom atm but needs more time.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

One or both of Longmire and Sanderson didn't agree, given he scored votes in the CA voting for the week.

LRT is so vital with so many talls injured. If one of Grundy or Richards goes down, then he will slot into key position defence. He is currently filling in for Reid. An extremely vital player to the structure. There are no other key forwards in the reserves to come in with Tippett, Reid, Goodes and Walsh all injured. Alex Johnson injury means we are also a key defender down.

We are two injuries away to key position players to needing to bring in Toby N, Naismith or Alire Alire
