From the position we are in, 2-3 would be an ok result. But from the draw we've had, in my opinion its far from a pass mark. Despite our ongoing crappy injury story, I'd say 95% of people on here would of expected us to be at worst 3-2 after 5 rounds, probably 4-1 would represent a pass mark for most before the season started. Hawthorn are missing plenty of troops, including a large part of their defence, but they are still at 2-0 and looking reasonable.

No. Just no. From the second quarter on both teams had shockers, Sydney more so considering the advantage they had. The one play you mention involving Buddy, while I don't recall that one if you watch the whole game, you'll see it repeated (EDIT: amongst other Swans not involving Buddy).

Fremantle are down by 57 points to the Hawks at half time. Fremantle are missing Fyfe, Barlow and Michael Johnson amongst others. Just like the Swans, when you have your better players out, you will struggle. Having a healthy list is imperative to have success in this league.

Hawthorn missing Hodge, Sewell, Lake, Schoenmakers, McEvoy and Stratton. And of course someone named Franklin from last year's GF team.

I swear I saw #37 running around in the purple

Sorry guys. I heard a story that he was not on the team flight from Perth.

As ugg said, look at hawthorn. Didnt have a ruckman for last night and still flogged last years grand finalist. Injuries in my opinion are only an excuse if you make them an excuse. Certainly no excuse for our 2 feeble attempts so far against mediocre teams at best.

White and lamb are spuds. No loss there. Mummy is short term loss but if we had a fully fit list, I cant fit him in. We would be too tall.
Everitt might be the one we miss the most.

Anyway, the buddy knockers seem to get caught up in the 10 year contract issue. If you pretend its only 5, it seems much better. Swans will have an escape clause, don't worry about that.

I think the Buddy escape clause is that we keep paying him until the contract is up, whether he plays or not.

Why can't Buddy be a Michael Tuck or a Dustin Fletcher? He is a better natural athlete that both those players. I fully expect the club to give him one year contracts from his 36 birthday and onwards.

                              You're kidding, right?

You sound like one of those pathetic Hawthorn supporters who say they are a better team without Buddy to make themselves feel better. Hawthorn may well have continued success without Buddy and we may find our mojo again without Mummy, but it's folly to suggest they are better sides without them...
