      Fair's fair

Perhaps it's time to recognise other aspects of McGuire. Not to do so is a kind of bigotry. Here's the article referred to above:

Is this man the kind of feminist women need?

And I doubt that he is racist. My take on him in this area is that he should engage brain before opening mouth.

But I'm as critical as anyone about his interference and undue influence in matters AFL.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

What was the deal with line "men who don't see women as sperm receptacles"? I have heard that crude
line before and never understood it's meaning.

It makes it hard for us blokes to do anything any more. The World will therefore have no more children.

Matt, I think it's about the difference between an object (sex object if you like) and a person. The line you quote regards a woman as a thing, an "it" not a "you". About as nasty as one could get I would think.

It's still a weird saying. There are many women out there treating men like objects for there own physical gain. They can be just like men.

As a man I don't want to be objectified as as steel maker, slaving in sweat shops 24 / 7 for the physical gain of females who don't respect my feelings.

Stop right there Matt, you are steering way off topic again.

                  Agreed Meg. Thanks.

Does anyone want to talk about the cricket or the San Fran 49ers.

I'm struggling for material now that trade week is over. No Petracca either.

Not a mention of football, the Swans or even Eddie in that post

Wrong topics for a Swans/footy forum, me thinks

Sorry. The offseason got the better of me.

It's so easy to get back on topic Matt, by just changing a few words. Your post could read as follows:

"As a man I don't want to be objectified as a footy tragic, glued to the internet 24 / 7 to the displeasure of other Swans' fans who don't respect my opinions."

On the radio today, "Collingwood demanding compensation for losing Eade to Suns"

Since when are clubs compensated for losing assistants or directors etc?
