Benny McGlynn is a huge in for us in these conditions. Midfield clash will be key. If we can match it with the Dockers there we've got too many options forward and back.

    Swans by 25 points.
    Welcome AnnaKE!!
I hope 25 points is conservative.

I expect Benny will be fired up. He's still hurting from 2012.

Was a bit shocked to see a Match Thread, not only started before noon, but also already several pages long.
    Well done Doctor!!

This could be a furphy but I heard the Swans were given permission to run the "super sopper" they use at the cricket across the ground. If that's true hopefully they'll have time to remove some of this morning's rain.

Looking at the radar, there's still more rain on the way but it has broken up a bit. With a bit of luck the wind will blow most of the cloud away from the stadium and dump the rain somewhere else. I'll gladly take the lot over my place please Huey!!

          12.8mm this morning.

Mostly cloudy. Showers, locally quite heavy near the coast. Showers may becoming more isolated in the late afternoon. Winds south to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h tending southeasterly in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening.

Deja Vu....French Deja = before. Vu is the past tense of "see" je voir - I see....Je vu = I have seen. So Deja Vu literally "before seen" but things always backwards in French so the real translation is "Seen Before"

It's very sunny in the city now - we aren't in undercover seats, so I may have to repair to the members bar to avoid getting sunburnt...

Hearing rumours of Sandilands out. Take it with a grain of salt but he looked proppy at the end of the Port game and it would make sense with Griffin's inclusion.

Stupid red eye flight. Heading to the game shortly. Hopefully the Swans will play well enough to keep me awake.

Aren't they normally allowed to use it?

Historically, I don't believe they have been allowed at ANZ. There's definitely one at the SCG for the cricket. Obviously, I stand to be corrected if someone knows better.

Still a lot of cloud around but definitely brightening up. Forgot about the track work...bunch of us heading south on the rail bus...fingers crossed for traffic.

No late changes, Bird is a sub!
Fremantle have made a late change with Jon Griffin out, replaced by Hayden Crozier

Bird as sub has me scratching my head. I would of thought his role would of been to lock down on one of their mids. Can't do that as a sub.

He hasn't worked in that role in the past....I don't like it, he's not a burst player, and is unlikely to have a big impact in 1 quarter of footy.

Freo's change is very predictable, and sensible.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

It might to do something with his injury. Most likely he will be brought in to lock down the game if necessary.

Must be because he's still not 100%
I'd rather of had one of the young uns as an impact player then
