Fyfe is a great player and some of his contributions at the weekend for Freo were what you'd expect. But he was also beaten fair and square in a number of one on one contests. If you look at the lead up play, for example, for the first of Buddy's final quarter goals, you will see a fairly lame effort on Fyfe's part in a contest with Hanners.Comment

I was more implying that if you take into account Sandilands enormous number of hit-outs to advantage when you're considering the Parker v. Fyfe battle that Parker won hands down.
The TV angle wasn't great but I thought Fyfe's mark+goal in the one-on-one contest with Parker was a blatant push in the back? Luke didn't remonstrate though so maybe it was just good body work!

I think Fyfe was pretty battered and bruised by that stage...our boys physically worked him over whenever we laid hands on him...tipping he was pretty sore on sunday morning!Fyfe is a great player and some of his contributions at the weekend for Freo were what you'd expect. That mark that Fyfe took in the first quarter was the only time I've ever seen a midfielder beat Parker in the air. That shows how impressive he is.Fyfe is a great player and some of his contributions at the weekend for Freo were what you'd expect. Who thinks he is now our number one midfielder?
This how I rate the Swans midfielders:
1) Parker
2) Kennedy
3) K. Jack
4) Hannabery
5) Mcveigh
6) McGlynn
7) Jetta
8) Bird
9) Cunningham
10) Lloyd
Who the hell do you put Crowley on? What a grouping?Comment

Parker is in better form at the moment easily but I don't think he has done it for long enough to say he is a better midfielder than Kennedy, Hannebery or KJ.
If he has another 2 huge finals then follows up with another similar season next year then it will be easier to compare.
For what it's worth I still think Hannebery is our most important midfielder...his inside work has improved through the roof and his running ability is up there with the best in the business. We are a markedly better team when Dan is up and about (see 2012 grand final)Twitter @cmdil

That was more directed at Conor who stated that he comprehensively beat fyfe. I should've stated that so i didn't upset anyone..Comment
