I'm warming the idea of getting Ryder, but he'd have to strike a no fault deal with ASADA first so we know what his suspension will be. It would solve any perceived future problems at CHB as Reid would transfer to the backline.

Can we afford Ryder, taking into account the well-deserved pay rises that will be due to a number of our youngsters over the next 1-3 years?

I thought Ryder was linked to Brisbane. Has that changed?

Are these the whispers of a certain AFL 'trades' page on Facebook, or a certain 'Bigfooty' forum, or are they actual whispers of note?

Surely Brisbane will have a hell of a lot more to throw at him then we will.

Goodes Tippo and LrT retiring would free up cap space , but one would assume that cap was already factored in when Buddy was signed ? Ryder would want 500-600 minimum I would've thought

If u go by the past history tippo (is he really retiring ) was just about at Tweed Heads ready to cross the border and Buddy was at GWS (I find that even more bizarre then him coming to Sydney). So if Ryder was locked into Brisbane then we are a big show.

Like it! I'm prepared to trust the word of a seasoned RWO campaigner who I had beers with in Wellington last year too.

Yes, I know there's a long, long way to go and it will take a lot of resilience and hard yakka, but if Kochie could do it, you can too.
Have you read that Russell Barwick now believes that Ryder is a chance of coming to the Swans?

As you would know, I was the first to raise the possibility on Red and White. I even put forward a proposal as to how the Swans can create the salary cap space.

If this comes off, that slap down will become a big slap on the back. If Tom Mitchell has any part of this a think the Red and White community will be shouting me a case of beer.

If Tom Mitchell is traded, I won't be shouting anyone a case of beer - I'll be furious.

I won't believe Ryder to Sydney until Cressakel posts it. He told us Buddy was going to Sydney last year.

Careful Matt80, if you pump yourself up any more, you'll explode from the pressure generated.

Thanks Doc - I remember it well. I was quoting Russell Barwick who, it must be said, is also spruiking that Mitchell will go to Carlton.
