Depends how you look at it. One champion and three reserves players plus their best pick in the draft is 65. In addition they are missing early picks in next years draft.

Selwood is a tagger who couldn't get a game in Eagles best 22, Zac Smith couldn't get a game with GC who have recruited Currie to replace him, and Henderson struggled to be among the best in the worst team the AFL has seen this century!

Agree in general, but in fairness to Selwood, he was going well a couple of years ago, but has struggled with injury the past 2 seasons. Anyway, Geelong needed to get some fresh talent into the team to replace their aging stars. Henderson will probably play forward. They need someone to help out Hawkins. It will be interesting to see how they go next year. They've given up a lot in the draft that could cost them down the road.

Think Johnson was traded so as not to upset FA compo, fifth round is rarely used, particularly by GWS who don't pick past second round!

Be really interesting to see where all the picks end up. Still hoping for two 20s picks for our pick 14.

It could affect GWS' compo for losing a free agent if they took Johnson as a free agent themselves. Compo works on a net basis. But that's only relevant if GWS were losing someone as a free agent. I don't think it's possible for them to yet. They've not been round long enough to have anyone who could qualify.
