Heard something interesting today, 3rd hand of course.
Recently Naismith has been getting nibbles from SANFL clubs to move to Adelaide.
Horse has a chat with him and told him that he wasn't happy with Pyke's game and that Pyke won't be there next year and if Naismith can stay injury free there will be a spot open for him.

Pykey has signed to the end of 2016. I doubt we could get a trade for him so I daresay he WILL still be there next year.

In any case, Sam just has to stay patient. There's spots for those good enough and/or durable enough.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Sam would be mad to move at this stage - he's till young for a ruckman (just about to turn 23) and he is in a good system.

Next year should be his big chance, I would hope he gets another 3-4 games the back end of this season. If he is fit I'd be tempted to give him a run this weekend....

Still think that Pyke with Tippet as back up are our best bets for this season

Pyke may be there (by the way you have to love his career) next year but playing in what team, ala ROK perhaps

It is the way of the world, if Sam is to take the step up as a senior ruckman then I'd be hoping that he would play 3-4 game this year and at least half of next season with a view to being Numero Uni in 2017.

I just think Pyke has this season left in him as number one but he really is an amazing guy, he never stops surprising

Does anybody know if a straight swap is allowed under our trade restrictions? If yes, then approach the dogs for a swap, Tippett for Will Minson. Minson seems to be out of favour at the dogs, Boyd isnt living up to their expectations. I think big Will still has a lot to offer.

Only if the incoming player is on less than $350k p.a. I'd be happy with Will and would imagine that he'd be on less than that.

I'd be happy with Will but Tippett is 5 times the player he is. Tippett is capable of winning a big game off his own boot. He going to explode soon and prove the doubters wrong big time.

No drug user deserves any sympathy. The moment they take than first smoke, sniff or needle that boat has sailed.

I think we'd expect a draft pick along with the deal. Trouble is that Tippetts stocks have gone down during his time with us.

I'm not looking for sympathy, but lighten up a bit.

Do you feel the same about alcohol?

That is the most ignorant thing I've ever read on here.
