Everything happens for a reason and I think getting Sinclair is certainly a bi-product of that statement. We were killed in the ruck this year and we certainly are going to be much better with a proper around the ground ruckman.
But will it translate to better centre clearance work/higher % of clean clearances/any clearances. This is where we get slaughtered by all teams. This is where Hawthorn won their last 2 flags. We stink it up big time in this aspect of the game.

It's a huge improvement in terms of the balance of the side, Talia plus Mills and Dunks should complete a nice little re-alignment of our squad

I think the swans said early last week that they weren't interested.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Regardless of who it is I wouldn't b surprised to us trade our second round pick for next year for a good young KPD prospect, someone who whilst not quite the finished product could still play pretty much a full season of senior footy next year.

If we get that player plus Sincliar plus Mills and Dunks I'd be pretty happy with our business over the off season

I think we have a couple who fit that description - Aliir and Xav - and I hope we do get to see them in the firsts before the season is very far advanced.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Hmmm...even if we can't get him , I like the mooted acquisition of Seedsman : he's a decent player , though his progress has been hampered by injury.
Ex-Pies have done very nicely for us over the years, too.
An additional benefit is that he has an unforgettable , ready-made nickname.

Harley was on trade radio. Said the following:

                    - Keen on Seedsman
                    - Interested in Talia if a deal presents itself
                    - Not shopping Bird around but open to a trade if a deal is put forward
                    - Rapt with Sinclair
                    - Haven't spoken to Steve Johnson

I would expect the Swans (and their supporters) to be more socially respectful than their Pie counterparts (if you are referring to the nickname that's caused controversy in the past).

                        Great idea Mug.

What about Jake Kolodjashni from Geelong?

Good young KPD prospect, but how is he going to get a run at Geelong with Taylor, Lonagan and now Henderson?Andrew Mackie is a tallish defender who is still going along well.

Having given up their 2016 first round, Geelong may be open to a 2016 2nd round pick.

I hope you are right but I'm not convinced yet that they are long term solutions, from Tom's comments quote above it does indeed seem like we are still interested in Talia

Points wont be an issue, i think if we walk away with Mills/Dunks in a shallow draft they will be happy with that, we have enough Fringe/Depth players plus there is the Pre Season Draft.
Our Pick 14 is basically worth a pick 9 when you include the 25% discount in points we get for Mills. As someone said before, I can see us potentially trading 14 for a late Teens and Early twenties picks to accumulate more points.
Our only concern is Melb (Roos) potentially moving up to Pick 3 from pick 6 for the Howe Trade. I reckon he will pick Mills
As far as a KPD, nowadays you just buy them and West Coast have shown that you can get around having one.

You'd take Jake Kolodjashni in a flash wouldn't you but I'd be amazed if Geelong would trade him, you'd thgink he is absolutely central to their future plans

Points wise, if we only want to draft Mills and Dunks and suplement our picks 14,33 and 51 with a mid third rounder trade result (I'm assuming the Dees' pick of 43) then assuming Dunks goes at 25 and no earlier we should be able to trade both of them and haveno points deficit regardless of if Mills goes at 3 or 4.

I'd really be hoping that Roosy doesn't bid for an academy kid again though but if they are in for a mid and they believe Mills is the best bid in the draft then really they are no doing anything wrong as they'd probably be quite happy to draft him
