So what was the explanation? We didn't get to hear it at the ground.

I have no complaints about that game. Very hard game last week, 6 day break, Blues a little bit up and about, 10 goal win is about right. Gifted them some easy stuff but nothing too concerning.

He said it was a tribute to a group of 16 year old Indigenous dancers who taught it to the players during the week and for Indigenous Round, nothing to do with the booing(after the booing was mentioned by Richo). Pity the press won't/don't take him for his word.....

I would leave him in next week.

Barry Hall is a block head.
I don't agree on BJ Nico. His disposals were pretty ordinary. He had the chance in the last to take off and gave Parker a HB that just put him under pressure. UGH! Just teeth ruining! his tackling was good but you need to use the ball when you get it. Bring in Hewett rather than BJ if BJ hasn't got the confidence. He needs to get confidence back if he ever wants to play AFL again. At this stage he looks like being delisted at end of year.

Credit to Lingy though for taking his word and trying to switch the focus. Pity McLachlan wouldn't stop bringing it back up

As predicted, a "disappointing" 60 point win.

I also want to highlight Shaw's absolutely atrocious performance. He had a kick in front of the Ladies Stand that legit could not have been worse and led to a goal. Weak tackler, terrible disposer, surely a kid from the NEAFL can't do much more damage than this bloke does week in, week out.

Just got home from the game. I'm a bit worried about Laidler, he seems a little slow, but then he also did that wonderful save near goal...so I'm willing to wait a while before culling him from my list...

As for Goodesey...Oh give it a rest Channel 7- It's indigenous round, let Adam do what he wants...and there's nothing wrong with an indigenous celebration.

Well that's awesome. The home crowd loved it, then the game moved on. As should any goose who has an issue with it.

I am sick to effing death with Pyke tapping it straight down to his feet! Can he please mix it up a bit! This is obviously not his fault. This is a coaching error because time and time again, game after game, we get the same @@@@ from him. FFS please do something different at the ball ups

You should have heard Eddie Mcguire going on about it! Tosspot of the highest order. And a racist to boot. Barry Hall weak as piss person. Had the chance to defend Goodsie. He should know him better than anyone but the gutless @@@@ hung him out to dry. Pathetic.

Where the F was Bradley and Luffy MMM??

OMG. I had no choice but to sit through the dribble that was Eddie Everywhere, Bray-bloody-shaw and the hair bear bunch's own Gary Lyons. It's time I bought a transistor radio and listed to the ABC.

Firstly, call the friggen game. I don't want to hear about anything else Eddie. When my warrior did his war dance, Eddie had a stroke on air!! Immediately started jumping up and down... at one stage, he said that "this is going to be all over the newspapers tomorrow, and will be the first story on the 6pm news", and continued to go on and on about it for the rest of the game. I think they actually "commentated" about 10 minutes of the whole second half. The king of tossers even went as far to call it the "Goodesy incident". What incident? Is it reportable? Such a pity Daisy missed that elbow to Joey's head. It would have been six weeks for sure. The MRP will still look at it.

At the end of the game, Jude Bolton interviewed Goodesy for MMM... Goodesy explained the shout out to the 16 years olds, we went back to Eddie Everywhere, and didn't THAT just take the wind out of his sails. Started to praise Goodesy for the man that he is.

                      Oh, and we won.
                      By not nearly enough.
                      Percentage is STILL very important.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

My take on the Goodsey 'war dance'? He stuck it up em. He kicked a goal after a few morons from Carlton booed him. Good on him - he deserves to react like that if he chooses to. It was in front of us and it definitely had some feeling in it. I loved it.

Didn't win by enough. Hawks or Freo would've been up by 100pts at half time. I know, I know.....marathon not a race etc etc. There was nothing clinical the way there should have been.

How does a premiership contender lose clearances to that Blues midfield? Can't believe it. Not trying or real problems?

Re Goodes. Always liked Goodes, but for me his antics, comments and reactions over the last couple of years are increasingly becoming a little too "me me me". I don't see anyone else constantly pontificating about issue A, B and C or drawing as much attention to himself and away from the team. Not even Lance Franklin. Across the industry, footballers are confusing themselves with moral compasses lately. It is somehow seen as heroic to spout 'politically correct' slogans ad nauseum all day. Goodes is talented enough to let his football do the talking and he can do what he wants in his own time. He is in the best 22 currently with his form (just) and I hope he stays there. As I am trying to be objective, I can see why some people are getting annoyed though. The media will of course beat it up, but Goodes made an undisciplined decision to do that. Every opposition supporter will now know how to get under his skin. Not a smart thing to do, probably why he gave Richo that story. But probably a rush of blood that other can't understand unless they were in his shoes. It's all fickle at the end of the day, from all angles.

The Age report:Adam Goodes celebration the centre of debate as Swans prove too strong for Carlton

I'm really disappointed at David Sygall (or it may be some dopey sub-editor) for the lying sensationalism that starts his report when a little further down the same report Goodes himself gives the real background to the fairly trivial and wholly innocent "dance" routine. He takes his cue from Eddie's blather only to pop the balloon a few lines down. I thought he had more sense - poor effort.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Oh Annie I hope the other indigenous players across the weekend do something similar - the abuse from some on social media who are calling Adam racist is breathtaking - these people have no idea of how racist they are themselves - how sad is that?? I'm so glad that Eddie got put back in his box and thank god for Lingy - he and Carey tried to put the kibosh on it - it was Hamish who kept it going. You could even see Richo was embarrassed asking him and also Buddy about it. My beef is had Buddy, Jetta or even Yarran had have done it - would there have been the same hoohar??? No probably not. It was no different to a haka - god I so hope the other indigenous players do it too.

Also the media jumped on the dance as soon as Adam did it, and they started the racial bit, they couldn't back peddle after he gave the explanation to Richo and Bolton - he's actually made the likes of Eddie, Bruce and the gang of ninnys look very silly. Sadly I don't think they will let him get away with doing that. As for Baz he'd have had a director shouting in his earpiece telling him what and why - I'm pretty sure he will retract his comment voluntarily this weekend at some point. David king should be actually made to retract his. I'm keen to see the morning news and whether a fair report will be put forward.

Yeah that's right the silly blackfella should just be quiet and be happy that we let him play our game. Stop being so 'politically correct' Adam - if us whitefellas reckon you're getting a bit too uppity, just smile and say 'yes boss' and stick to running around on the footy field - that's what entertains us. You sticking your neck out and getting all precious when we call you names is not in the script. Not even in the indigenous round please - we have that so you can wear a pretty jumper and us white folk can tell the world we've reconciled and everything is fine now. Stop drawing attention to yourself and stop being a hero and take it all lying down like you're supposed to.
