Hi Jenny. It's great that you monitor and post here.

My daughter and I are seriously thinking about coming to Sydney for this game to stand by Goodes. We are Vic Gold members which allows us to access three Sydney games. Do we just rock up, scan our members' badges and enter the GA area and be seated the best we can find? Or will we have to book?

Same question for the Collingwood game in two weeks?

    Thanks.
    Hi Swansongster,

Great to hear you're thinking about making the trip to Sydney! You can simply scan your membership card at Gate E or F and find a seat in the GA section (Bays 14-18). That being said, we are expecting a packed house in GA tomorrow and entry is subject to capacity - so I would recommend upgrading to a reserved seat if you can. To do this, you just need to visit www.ticketek.com.au/sydneyswans, enter the 12-digit barcode on your membership card and select a Gold seat. The upgrade price should appear for you, which is $17 for an adult and $10 for a junior. If you have any issue at all, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Member Services crew on 1300 663 819.

Hope to see you in the stands tomorrow!

    Jenny

I am more than happy to do this. Goodsey is a great player, and more importantly a classy guy and no one deserves to
be treated the way he has been by opposition crowds and the boofhead section of the media. Y'know, all he does is say things that thinking people everywhere know to be true.
Anyway, the T-Shirts are being printed this morning and I'll co-ordinate with Go Swannies & Margo later this afternoon as
to how they'll get up to Driver Ave tomorrow.

Hi all, I have had some response via the L@SS page, but people with hotmail, gmail accounts can't join here (so they say, is this true?) so they are sending me their details and I have passed them on to Go Swannies. Alternatively, if anyone who is co-ordinating needs their contact numbers, just send me a PM and I will pass them on.

I like the idea of pelting eggs at the boo-ers that i read in the paper. Now thats a hands on approach that will get the attention of the AFL.

Maybe everyone just checks RWO late at night.
Sorry?had to give myself a break from the intertubes.
2pm outside the front gates C/D/E? I'll be there.

Hi all, I think we have enough now. If there is anyone going to the Member recognition function, that'd be a big help. But the team who have replied here and PMed me should be enough to distribute - especially with the CS wanting a bunch. I'll reply and post details here this evening.

KTigers and I will talk about logistics this afternoon then I'll contact everyone. Meanwhile, I'm ready to take advice. I think the shirts will be most effective if seen together in batches. I sit in the front row and will make sure the others around me are wearing them, too.

But how can that be achieved - that, to make the most of KTigers generosity, we hand out the shirts in the most effective manner? That is, to people in prominent parts of the ground down near the front. My thought is to hold some shirts back and distribute then inside the ground to people in the front rows.

But outside the ground we only have about an hour, between 3 and 4, to make this RWO gesture as significant as it can be. Also, we will have a lot of boxes: if someone wanted to make up a banner saying "Support Adam Goodes - www.redandwhiteonline.com" it would certainly bring the existence of this site to the attention of a lot of people.

              All suggestions welcome.

What's been lost in a lot of this is one of the primary reasons as to why Adam received his Australian of the Year award in the first place - the Go Foundation. Events of this week prompted me to look into it a bit more.

I'll be donating to the Foundation as one of the small ways that I can show support for Adam and what he stands for.

Well done Plugger46, and even bigger of you for admitting that you may have been wrong. It takes a person of character to admit error in their ways.

Its so good to see the "I stand by" phrase used with a worthy individual, rather than trying to defend a drug cheat (Hird).

A classic example of the good regaining control of the language.

                              I'd suggest:
                              1) Don't focus on the front rows, spread them around. If you managed to distribute them (geographically) evenly, so that for every group of 40 fans there was a shirt then there would always be one in shot. Obviously that isn't possible, but random ain't always bad. [of course I may be talking garbage... but they do show a lot of random crowd shots most games].
                              2) Give them to people who can put them on - I'd guess that some people will be coming well-rugged up. If the shirt disappears below a few layers its not broadcasting as much of a message as if its the outer layer. I think that's a reasonable request to make of people.

I got an invite to the members recognition function, but didn't take it up... I could try gate-crashing....
