And in some good news for booking tickets (well, news to me), AT LAST Ticketek has introduced an online system that allows you to choose the area of the ground in which you want to sit. Still can't choose your actual seat but it's a helluva improvement on the 'best available' that used to stick me in places I hated.Comment

I apologise Annie if you are unwell. No I don't know you except from your hundreds of posts here that I have read over the last few years, and from those I know you truly love the game and our team. Also that you hate going to ANZ stadium. You used the word morose so that is the word I was responding to. However, if you are in any way suffering to the point of missing seeing our boys display their skills, passion and tenacity in a final that they have fought so hard to reach, then I truly feel much sympathy for you. If you have to stay home, I will be thinking of you.Comment

I'm not buying some journo telling me Goodsey might be booed off the ground in Perth.
The Swans, Goodes in particular have risen above the few remaining misfits now.
The show continues on Sat night, the boys have worked against the odds to have another crack, they want and need us there as well.
If we win the right to go back to Perth, they have nothing to lose, and West Coast have plenty to lose.
West Coast are now hot favs to be the premiers, but you just have to keep dreaming whilst you are still a live chance.
Our family will be there.Comment

As a Victorian I would give my right arm to be there next Saturday! It is a historic occasion. Definitely Shawrey's last game in NSW and potentially Goode's last game full stop if we lose. Can be a bittersweet thing but better to celebrate the end of 2 magnificent careers than let it just fizzle. Of course that is just consolation if we lose, which we won't.We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!Comment

I know where you're coming from Annie. I have felt the same way for most of the season. Mine is still a hangover from last years GF which still hurts, and up until Saturday, the feeling the boys had lost the Bloods spirit. If we did by some miracle win the premiership this year I might retire from AFL altogether because it could never get any better than that.Comment

I knew we'd be up against it against Freo, and to lose by so little, after a few weeks of 20 goal games... broke me.
Today... I don't want to buy a ticket.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

If anyone is still looking for tickets, there's a special Telstra codeword that gives you 50% off (adult tickets only) seats in 119-2 and 120-2 behind our cheer squad end (marked as category 2)

Is it really a given that Goodsey will retire? I distinctly remember at the end of last year there was a lot of talk that he'd retire then too.
Then he announced he was always planning on playing on in 2016, and might even go into 2016. There is no doubt he is playing well enough to go another year. The fact that he can still burn opposing players 15 years younger than him in the fourth quarter of tight games says to me his body is still in good shape, and there is no doubt he is a very cagey old fella out there on the field. Aside from his position in the indigenous community, he is a professional footballer through and through and I'm not convinced guys like him ever really want to quit.
Obviously winning the GF this year with almost a quarter of our starting 22 injured is a major stretch but even if we don't win and Goodsey announces he wants to go again in 2016 then it'll be no small consolation to my mind.
