Playing Giants 200m from their home ground is almost worse (but don't get me wrong - top spot and best % is justly deserved and worth fighting for).
So I'm going to relax and enjoy today!
If Adelaide had won I'd be a nervous irritable soul all day.
Yes, even if for some mystifying reason we lose against Richmond, we still make the top four. Though I'd still like to see one of the Hawks, Cats or Giants lose, which means win today and it's a genuine home final.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but would a Sydney v GWS game at the SCG not likely draw a bigger crowd & a better atmosphere than a half empty ANZ?

If I thought the tiresome, repetitive, nonsensical defence of ANZ, and the dreary and frankly insulting attacks on most Swans supporters was a noble cause, I'd defend him too.
My last word on him anyway.

Unless there was a gale behind Geelong in the first quarter, it looks like the Demons are already done. So it's up to the Pies or the Roos to save us a trip to ANZ.

Seems the Demons didn't bother to make the trip to Simmons. Thought they would have been out to give Roos a good send-off. Anyway it makes sure he won't have any regrets about going back into retirement.

If Geelong have a huge win and Swans just squeak home, could they overtake us and leave us with an SCG home final v Hawthorn?

Geelong are up by nearly 100 points and their percentage is now 142.9!

I guess we'll know what we need going into the game- we're still in front of them now.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

There's a slight chance if we win in a really low scoring contest something like 46-45 we would finish behind them. Which may be good as we would play the third place team and not potentially the Giants

Not quite; it's the really close high scoring contest that could do that.

Okay they kicked a few more now it becomes a little tighter. I believe if they score 60 we need to score 70. If more then we have to score even more

Retirement, or back to where he left off, running our academy? Couldn't think of a better person for the job. Just a shame that the Demons didn't give him a better send off.

Good one Melbourne. Nice send off present to Roosy! They were just saying on ABC Radio that we have to win by at least 2 goals to remain on top. That would be in a mid to high scoring game, less if it's low scoring. But we have to WIN!! I think we'll do the job comfortably.

I am happy for us to play the Giants on our home ground. The SCG.
