Better all round for us if Hawks aren't Mitchell's destination, don't desperately need a player Hawks are willing to part with and their picks are ordinary plus they have O'Meara to get across first.

I'd be more disappointed if Nankervis left. At least we'd get a good trade in return for Mitchell. Nank is just starting to hit his stride and we wouldn't get much for himComment

Breust, Reid, bud, Rohan, pap, towers

Looks fast and completely dangerous --- almost Blu Steele like "be tough, only when it gets tough" "be tough, only when it gets tough"

Pierce Hanley. Fast, good kicking, and Lions will trade him.

All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001) Comment

Wells is being offered 500k from North and Collingwood contract length is the sticking point he wants 3 years North is only offering 2. Similar to our situation with Mal.

The deal that keeps coming back to bite us is the Membrey one he would be the perfect medium size marking forward.

We should seriously consider trading the pick we get for Mitchell (13) and our own pick to someone like the Suns for a top 5 pick. Then we have Mills Heeney another top 5 pick to build the next 10 years on.Comment

Membrey would be NO closer to getting a game with us now than he did before he left. What did he have against us this year at Etihad - one touch? Down hill skier. Too slow to be a small forward and too small to be a KPP.

We can save ourselves the discussion on blokes like Wells and Breust and Handley. If we can't afford to keep Tom Mitchell, we can't afford any of them either. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment

If we need salary cap easiest thing to do would be to trade Sam Reid before this off season because he's a free agent next year. He would be on around 500k?Membrey would be NO closer to getting a game with us now than he did before he left. What did he have against us this year at Etihad - one touch? Down hill skier. Members kicked 44 from 17 games hardly a downhill skier. Some players just don't play well against their old club like Buddy against Hawks.Comment

I like membrey but he will need to perform against the big teams to show he isnt a downhill skier. When you look at the game by game breakdown, his big hauls came mainly against middle to lower table teams."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
