Not to mention we lost 2 of our most influential players in first half with only a ruckman that had played a few games

Did the swans play on Saturday?
What the F happened to "ruthless" footy?
If Dan Hannerbery gave one more interview on how ruthless we were going to be, I was going to spew. Every time he touched the ball he gave it to GWS on a silver platter. All talk, no action.
Did Buddy play? If he did, why wasn't he in the forward 50. Poor little X maybe was there sometimes on his own.

If Stevie J doesn't get a month, I'll be spewing. Roid rage or what?
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

The tackle count is also a huge concern for me - it is usually one area of the game, no matter how poorly we play, that we do ok in. We were comprehensively outmuscled and out-tackled on Saturday.

I'm hoping to see us coming out of the gates at 100mph on Saturday night. We need to hit the game with finals like intensity from the get go. Get Adelaide on the back foot and not let them get a toehold in the game. That's what the Plastics did to us on Saturday, and it eventually wore us down.

It looked like Dean Towers was our tackling coach on Saturday, every player wearing red and white were imitating turnstiles!

I'm with the doctor on this one bloods. I get it, McGlynn is done. Its not his fault he played, and he's been a good servant of the club.

He's cooked, but there's no point rubbishing him like you have. Wouldnt hurt to show a bit more respect for our players.

Sometimes you come across like a troll, Barry.

JPK is our most important player and he was targeted by Johnson. You must know that. Johnsons action was intentional, malicious and designed to take JPK out of the game. Mumford specifically targeted Tippett for the same reason. If you take out 2 of the oppositions main stoppage / clearance players this has a big influence on how the rest of the game plays out. Surely, after 4000 RWO posts you would know this.

Do you think that an intentional elbow/shoulder to the head is an ok thing to do in an AFL game? I don't and clearly most people on here don't either. Despite our conspiracy theories, the AFL still says 'the head is sacrosanct'.

If you think we are just sooking maybe you've had a few too many head knocks yourself.
There's no seniority on this forum - nobody cares how many posts you've written on RWO.

We didn't play to our expected standard: we are noted for our pressure and it was well below GWS's. We kicked wildly and randomly, partly because of their pressure and partly because we bombed into the forward 50 relentlessly instead of working our way into a position where we could kick to someone better placed. We are perhaps the best tackling team in the comp, but you wouldn't think so from today. The damage to Tippett and Josh K impacted on us significantly. The umpiring didn't cost us the game but at times made it extremely difficult to bounce back - the Heeney non-mark being the most obvious instance.

I share the view that the break didn't do us any favours, and it was a totally unnecessary move by the AFL anyway. I hope we've seen the last of it.

Mad Dog Johnson should get a fortnight's holiday. Mummy's sling tackles should also be punished.

I'd give Cameron BOG. Outstanding player.
This is exactly how I saw it.

I just watched the Giants' top 5 plays- 4 of them were goals, of those 3 came from Swans mistakes and 1 included the Heeney mark that wasn't paid. All 4 goals were from the second half (I think, not going to watch it again! ).

They were by far the better team and deserved their win, but hope is not less and there's definitely things I think we can change before we meet Adelaide.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

If Stevie J's 2015 suspension is taken into account, he's gone for three weeks. Anything less, those on the MRP should never participate again.

Mummy is tricky. I agree with the assessment that on vision and Tippett's immediate condition, there's probably a fine in it. But, if Tippett's jaw is broken, and it's from that sling tackle, Mummy will have to get 1-2.

Hilarious how they gloss over the Lewis punch in the Hawks Cats game. Lewis did exactly the same a few weeks earlier and got off.
I'm not defending Lewis - he's a dirty underhanded player. However, his punch in the Hawks/Cats game was not hard enough to do any damage. He merely intended to agitate - and was successful.

In this shot, Johnson looks like he has a few mental health 'issues' that go beyond your average 'white line fever'......at least some 'anger management' issues, besides being a dirty sniper......

I thought we tackled poorly too. GWS players simply broke out of tackles. That combines with our general lack of pressure on the ball carrier was telling.
