As much as hate what Mumford and Johnson did yesterday it seems we have quickly forgotten one B Hall getting a soft ride from the MRP eleven years ago ????

Remember though he didn't get off the charge - we simply successfully argued and got it downgraded (on the basis of being behind play was it not?)

I don't think Hall actually set out to hit what his name, but mummy & Stevie j made no secret of what they planned to do and they actually did it- that is premeditated.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Which to me is absolute nonsense in my book. The outcome should not play such a role in the decision if you ask me.

Lol. He got off because it was in play, not cause it was an accident.

My guess:. Mummy off or fine.

If you hit them in the sternum, that's like one of the best spots to hit someone outside the nose and balls. It should be an automatic suspension for that rubbish. Hawks do it all the time and it sickens me.

When emotions of yesterday die down, i would rather johnson and mumford play to kick hawthorn out of the finals.
My hated of hawthorn consumes all my AFL thoughts .

Yeah but Matt Maguire wasn't injured. Mumford set out to hurt.

Just watched the replay of the first quarter. There's some pretty good footage of the hit replayed at quarter time. Looks like he hit him with his shoulder, totally deliberately away from play.

He'd also elbowed McVeigh in the face earlier and taken a dive for a free kick. Do prior actions get taken into account when deciding if something is intentional or "careless"?

No, but multiple incidents in the same match incur an additional loading I think, provided they are all sanctioned. But the incidents need to get in front of the MRP, whcih means they have to be reported either by the umps or from 'relevant sources', typically media, opposition clubs etc

Whateley was clearly sympathetic to Fitzpatrick on Saturday when he insinuated the Swans' purchase of Franklin was due to cheating COLA.

Not a surprise, Whateley was apoplectic about this on 'Offsiders' at the time. He is not rational on this topic.

Reckon I'd cheer Hawthorn over the Giants at this point.

Agree 100%. It's so personal I've lost friendships with Hawk supporters.
