Just had a look at adelaides results this year. Geelong was the only team to keep adelaides scoring down this year (Adelaide kicked over 100 17 times this year). The only other team was west coast in round 23, which I feel was more to do with Rory Sloane not being there.
Is there anything we can learn from Geelong game style that could help us this week?Comment

Too alarming things i learnt last night.
1. Still 7000 seats available for crows game. Come on swans members.
2. Swans will only post a profit if they make the grand final. How does this make sense that we have record membership and sponsorship and our business model only makes profit if we make final 2.?Comment

It's called spending more than you earn. Very common these days.
Some club admin guy, I forget who it was, was on TV recently and was talking about the arms race between the clubs these days
spending large amounts of money on assistant coaches and high performance / fitness guys & the like, and how that was a relatively recent
phenomena putting stress on clubs' finances. All self inflicted of course.

Actually it could be "too" if Barry found them both to be exceptionally alarming. i.e. Barry has used "too" instead of, perhaps, "very". But given that he listed two points, & that his spelling is sloppy at the best of times, you're probably correct
No debating that one
I find it interesting how small the profits are (or losses for some clubs) for these professional clubs, particularly if AFL disbursements are excluded. The League's profits seem quite healthy, perhaps more of this should go back to clubs (rather than helping GW$ constantly). Do many clubs "invest" their profits into things that will generate a positive cashflow to further improve the bottom line?Last edited by 0918330512; 16 September 2016, 08:59 AM.Comment

Barry, all I did was ask you a simple question - will you be at the game on Saturday night at the SCG?
After all, less than a couple of weeks ago you yourself said "I never miss finals".
You spend an awful lot of energy, like you have again in this thread, having a go at those that actually put their money where their mouth is and directly support the club as members - as if they are the only factor that influences what crowd will turn up for a match.
I'm guessing from your dodging of this question that you won't be there, which would, if correct, highlight the hypocrisy of your ongoing crusade against Swans members...Last edited by mcs; 16 September 2016, 09:31 AM."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment
