Interesting that we are going into a cut throat final with what were considered our 3rd and 4th backup ruckmen at the start of the year.

I am totally convinced we will see a different Swans side this week. Might sound crazy, but I am not sure we did not go 100% last week, maybe the thought of 1 game in 3 weeks did not appear a good option for Longmire. But time will tell.Comment

I love unsubstantiated rumours.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

This occurred to me too. I would have thought Nankervis was ahead of Sinclair now. Makes the Sinclair / Jetta swap look like a lose lose scenario.Comment

Sinclair not yet fit enough to play this week. Longmire said this morning Sinclair still a chance to play in subsequent matches if we get through this week.Comment

There is no chance we threw the game. We were just beaten by the better team on the day. Given the amount of talent GWS have stockpiled, there is no shame in that. Still not giving up on us if we rematch them either. Just because they were better on the Saturday just past doesn't mean they will be again next time. But they have quickly become possibly our scariest opposition. And probably more annoying to lose to than anyone except the Hawks, which is just unbearable.
And, while I would rather have won, I agree that building up a bit of momentum will benefit us (if not for the injuries!). We'll need to improve because Adelaide are excellent and could easily have been top 4 or even top 2. They were very impressive when they beat us (much to my surprise) at Adelaide Oval earlier this year. Thankfully we play on our home deck this time and hopefully we'll get the job done. I'll tip us by 22 but I really don't care about the margin if we can get the result. All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

More like we were complacent after some easy wins at the end of the season and a bye.Comment

We'll need to play a whole lot better than last week if we are to beat the Crows. Apart from our losses to GWS our worst defeat was to the Crows (10 points if I recall). However, that was in Adelaide.
We'll need a way of containing Eddie Betts and Rory Sloane.
For those who watched the Norf v Crows game last week Sloane hounded Harvey for much of the game. Ironic that your most important player is 38 and playing his last game.
The Crows will have watched our game last weekend too and will know the importance of JPK or rather, what happens if JPK is injured. I hope they don't have a target on his back.Comment

Gees people in here are starting to sound like Freo Supporters last year after they lost the Derby late in the Season
"We threw that game so that the Hawks have to Travel interstate for a Prelim"
We didn't throw the game or give a lesser effort we were just outplayed.
We are coming of Straight sets too which makes it even more laughable we would do anything less then give 100%Comment
