I'll be intrigued to see how Brisbane go, as if you strip out their win against Essendon they were 2-20 with a percentage around the 60% mark, and that's as bad a season as Melbourne were having a few years ago and we all know how hard that will be.I'm not biting on your last post, Ludwig, but the preceding one about Rose was a pearler. Made me smile! BTW, can you still call yourself vegan when you eat ruckmen alive?
Fascinating post, 707. Makes the Bulldogs achievements all the greater and goes some way to explaining why they punched above their weight during the finals. Also bodes very well for Brisbane this year. They may climb out of the bottom 4 after all, although not many are predicting this.
It will be really interesting to see how they go with Schache, if he doesn't re-sign then they really will be back to square one with their rebuild. If he stays then with him, Hipwood and the gun they will recruit this year they suddenly have a forward line in place for the next decade.Comment

That's right goswannies. He was interviewed last year about that and that's what he said. He was an accidental trend setter. As the story goes, Teaser actually had a normal tux on order to hire, but when he went to pick it up someone else had been given his. All that was left was the brown velvet number. Didn't expect to be on the stage at the end of the night so it wasn't a big issue .... until those last votes were readComment

Shows how important timing is in football - dogs had a bad run with injuries, but got the important players back at the right time of year - indeed, them missing plenty of football may have been somewhat of a blessing as well - they run out all of their finals very well. It may well have been a very different story without a pre-finals bye though, that was the real kicker that I feel got them back into contention - without it I don't think they would of beaten the Egos in perth.I'm not biting on your last post, Ludwig, but the preceding one about Rose was a pearler. The Swans, Buddy and Parker have been fined for not disclosing that they were given Cortisone before the grand final. We have not broken any WADA code, however, we breached the AFLs Treatment Rules for not declaring the information.

Interested in seeing how Jy Simpkin goes today for North Melbourne. He was the player I was hoping we'd draft and was then picked by North straight after us picking Florent. Looks like he just came on before half time and looked really clean with his first possession.
Florent was ok in his first hit out. He fumbled a bit but hopefully that was just due to some nerves. Will be interesting to see how their careers progress!

The good thing was he didn't let it get to him, he didn't drop his head. He just charged onto the next contest."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment
