As the story goes, Teaser actually had a normal tux on order to hire, but when he went to pick it up someone else had been given his. All that was left was the brown velvet number. Didn't expect to be on the stage at the end of the night so it wasn't a big issue .... until those last votes were read

Are you guys for serious?? Think of Ludwig's "favourite" player, recently retired. I'm glad deja was (almost) straight on to it.
Sorry, just saw 56-14 cottoned on too.All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

Actually, now that I think of it, that has some obvious corruption potential.Comment

It's hard to find a whipping boy this year. I really like the whole squad ............................ so far.
Nico's already cornered the market on Cunningham and Robinson, although I never considered them as potential whipping boys.
Pink, being a blend of Red & White would seem unpatriotic to be a whipping boy.
Talia seems a bit too daft to be a whipping boy. He's a bit of a self-flagellater, so doesn't need any more abuse from the outside.
The inside running is going to Towers and Sinclair. Let's see how they go.

Injury List
Rose Hip, was bound to happen
Why can't Rohan get through a pre season without some sort of injury?
And Dawson's injury record is starting to become a worry. He loooks a real talent. It would be a shame if he became one of those that's always in rehab.Comment

Dawson has the "old blokes injury"!!!Comment

Heeney sporting a sleek new haircut in the team photo shoot, obviously wants to cut wind resistance for the new quick outside role in 2017. Might help him fly higher for marks as well.
Just noting the injury list, be a very different side to 2016 if we were playing for points this week, lucky we aren't!
Champion Data have produced a very telling table that actually measures real games lost to injury by measuring the value of who was injured minus the value of the player replacing them measured in ranking points. The 2016 stats are very interesting, will only give you a few teams -
Adel lost a total of 91 ranking points for the year - 18th see how stunningly charmed they were in 2016 so depth was not tested
Melb lost a total of 103 ranking points for the year - 17th
St.Klida lost a total of 123 ranking points for the year - 16th
Swans lost a total of 210 ranking points for the year - 12th
Bris lost a total of 419 ranking points for the year - 3rd for a squad that could ill afford to lose players
WB lost a total of 428 ranking points for the year - 2nd but got most of them back for finals
Freo lost a total of 689 ranking points - 1st just precipitated a much bigger fall then was likely without the key injuries
So when you're looking at who may rise or fall this year, note those teams that had the charmed run that didn't test their depth.Comment

I'm not biting on your last post, Ludwig, but the preceding one about Rose was a pearler. Made me smile! BTW, can you still call yourself vegan when you eat ruckmen alive?
Fascinating post, 707. Makes the Bulldogs achievements all the greater and goes some way to explaining why they punched above their weight during the finals. Also bodes very well for Brisbane this year. They may climb out of the bottom 4 after all, although not many are predicting this. All opinions are not equal.
