King of the kids, this is a great sign of a healthy team culture wise.

Does anybody know, who are the members of the NEAFL Development Squad ? Do they all train with the Swans or only a few of them? How many are there?

See Not just making up numbers - sydneyswans.com.au for references to the NDS (NEAFL Development Squad within the Swans Academy).

Sounds like Papley is likely to miss the first half of the season with injury - but I do agree that I like the sound of the mix possible up forward.

So... are they wearing shirts, or not?
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Speaking of Pre-Season . . . is there any information on or details about the intraclub match? I'm trying to wrangle children's orthodontist appointments over the next few Fridays, and need to do some scheduling so that I can get to the game (which is one of the highlights of the year, for sure). I'm assuming it will be on the 17th . . .

Horse has said that Sam Reid was given serious consideration to play in the GF! Shows how highly he is rated within the club to be considered without playing a game all season.

Horse also said that Reid will be the CHF this season and that Buddy etc will work around him. I've watched a few 2015 replays over summer and Reid was playing very well, I think we forget how well due to his absence in 2016. He took a lot of big marks and showed real mobility, key attributes needed in a CHF. IMO, Tippo to play a lot of FF, Buddy to roam around dangerously. That's three completely different type of tall forwards to be matched up on.

So being placed on LTIL means he can't play for 8 weeks..is the point of doing this salary related or is it that we can promote someone from the rookie while he's out?

No rookie restrictions apply to the hot cup. All listed players can play. I would guess that the reason for ltil paps is to quarantine him and stop him from pushing too hard trying to make a round 1 appearance.

It's a minimum of 8 weeks so the point of doing it now is so he can come back in 8 weeks time rather than 8 weeks after Round 1
