When I raised this earlier in the season I copped a mauling, even from you, IIRC. I don't care however you spin it, I can't believe having Mitchell in the lineup would not strengthen the team.

You definitely didn't get a mauling from me. I've been in favour of the Mitchell trade all along and probably was its strongest advocate. I haven't changed my tune on this one.

We are in urgent need of a key forward to give Buddy a chop out and us a target when Reid is playing his swing man role.

Sinclair is handy but is not the next premiership full forward and is more of a ruckman.

We've got Tippett, Sinclair, Cameron and Pink. How many more backup forwards do we need playing in the reserves? If we play Aliir in defence, then Reid wouldn't have to drop back as he does. I wouldn't exactly call the situation urgent. Since Tippett and Sinclair look unlikely to be going anywhere, we are out of the market for Watts. Not bothered at all about that.

It sounds most likely that Watts is going to PA, which objectively looks to be the best destination for him.

Footy boss Tom Harley says discussions about trading Kurt Tippett haven't taken place, while they're read more about Jack Watts joining their club than they've talked about it.

Either complete smokescreen or we really haven't done much regarding Watts. Not sure he's exactly what we need so happy for him to go elsewhere but if we are into him, the club obviously has a role in mind.

Glad to hear the lack of interest in Watts...9 Ordinary seasons....Soft downhill player.

Lack of fitness/commitment to the Dees to start to last preseason...

There will be far better options.

Tippett, like all footballers, wants to play.
In the Swans, this is dependent not only on his fitness, but the fitness of others.
At times he is lower down the pecking order than he'd want to be.
Perhaps he'd like to be at a club where he's guaranteed a game if he's fit.

Yes he played forward more than ruck, but do you feel Sinclair is a gun forward capable of taking us all the way? I don't!
