    The positives -

    * We can only go up from here.
    * We have Carlton next week for what should be our first win (and possibly some percentage)
    * AJ may make a comeback this year.
    * If we finish in the bottom six, we get a much easier fixture for 2018 because we will play a lot of the other bottom teams twice next year. (Imagine playing Gold Coast, Brisbane and Carlton twice next year.)
    * Mathematically, we can still finish on top of the ladder.

After today, there is NOTHING positive going on at our club. I struggle to see any positives, only shame......it's truly pathetic, an embarrassment.

Only 16 rounds until the end of our annus horibillus.Sorry for the spelling, it will be interesting to find out what is going on with our rapid decline once Horse comes to the realization that we will not be playing finals.

Heeney, first half was outstanding shows what is coming when he is fully fit again , Papley effort and commitment butchered a few but only 3 rd game back no pre-season, Parker looked a lot better today but at times is just off the pace.

              Cheers

Positives from today are Heeney, Newman and Melican. Still can't believe Newman was dropped last week.

Hayward looks like a player, Papley's effort was excellent. Heeney was great in patches.

We need some positive style coaching.

At least we don't have to waste any more time thinking that BJ might make a senior player.

Times of adversity can be character building. And far as sporting clubs go, I think that applies to players, staff and fans. In regards to players, we might get a fairly good idea which of the fringe players will be definitely worth keeping, as they will be the ones who keep on going at it and keep on improving, even though a premiership this year may now be beyond our grasp.

Of course, if we win a premiership from here, it will be the stuff of legends.

I'm contemplating whether to use the term, "mathematically possible"?

We have found a lot of really good players with high draft picks unfortunuately as the effort gets weaker the lack of speed and skill which is why they were high draft picks becomes apparent - you can coach effort and improves skills a little bit but once you lose your speed and the other team knows that your in trouble - so the positive for me is that we will get a higher draft pick and hopefully a changed game plan from the coach who is surrounded by good people so it should happen.

It's not a good sign when we're talking "mathematically possible" after round 6.
