Never heard or seen Grundy show any aggro! What exactly did he do?

Definitely seen him give a little in his time!

He bumped casbout high behind play, but certainly didn't look to be much in it. There's footage of it on afl.com.au

Casboult ran in to Grundy's shoulder. If a suspension comes out of it then it's official - the fix is on!

Last week they didn't even mention Lever's late bump on Rohan in their dispatches, despite Rohan staying down for a while after the contact. There looks to be less in that Grundy one, though the vision is fuzzy at best. If Grundy gets suspended for a week for that we'll know that the AFL is writing the Bombers fairy tale, not the Swans one.

Redbacks have access to tickets today (but just one per membership, not the four per membership that will be available tomorrow) - that's how Annie and I (and anyone else who's a Redback) have managed to get tickets already.
Hope they sit us together Liz!!

Nathan Schmook was calling it 1 week for Careless and Medium impact. Ridiculous given that Casboult ran into him, and Grundy raised his shoulder to brace for impact.. not sure what else he could have done there

It looks that it will be graded careless and high contact; the question is whether it is graded as low or medium impact, which would result in either a fine or a one week suspension, respectively. Nathan Schmook thinks he will get a week. I think it's too close to call. It looks bad that Casboult was left flat on the ground. There didn't seem to be much in it and would appear to be incidental contact except that Reg raises his arm and catches Casboult high. It still could be thrown out as being incidental contact. But who knows with the MRP?

I agree with liz that Lever's hit on Rohan last week looked worse and didn't get a mention. Everyone is miffed by the inconsistency of the of MRP. It certainly feels that he shouldn't get a week for that, but there have been some very minor incidents which ended in suspensions.

I'll be in Auckland for the first final.
Anyone know of anywhere there I'll be able to catch the game?

I think it's merely the fact that there were no major incidents this week, so the contact between Grundy and Casboult is the only thing these guys could find to talk about. They've got articles to write and segments to fill, so a quiet week tends to bring out some farcical incidents

Nathan Schook is an idiot, to predict a week for that.....looks like he's setting up Grundy and the Swans for a fall here......ridiculous!!

Where would the game be played?
                            Logic would say the SCG.
I doubt ANZ could be prepped in 1 week, and the AFL really need to plan a post-ANZ life.

If spotless could take 30,000 plus (a cheap upgrade), then it could host a swans final based on crowds for GWS v swans h&a and prelim ticket prices.

So SCG until spotless upgraded with 2nd level stand at scoreboard end.

Early signs are that Ticketek are still useless. Tickets on sale today for ANZ members but site was asking for club members to enter barcode...just flicked back and it's changed to specify ANZ members. Geez, these people couldn't organise a you know what in a you know what.

If you're looking for chinks in the armour of the other finals sides, most of the finalists have had losses against the bottom four sides.

                                Adelaide - North Melbourne (59)
                                Geelong - Gold Coast (25)
Richmond - no losses to the bottom four sides (they found other ways of being awful)
                                GWS Giants - Carlton (1)
Port Adelaide - no losses to the bottom four sides (they saved their worst for other top 8 sides with 2 wins and 7 losses)
                                Sydney - Carlton (19)
                                Essendon - Brisbane Lions (8), Carlton (15)
West Coast - Gold Coast (3)

So we're in good company with that loss to Carlton.
