I agree it would be Reid and plenty, to get Moore.

I think Reid's a really good player, when he's fit..Not sure the Wobbles, of all clubs, would go for him...

It would be groundhog day for them...Once bitten..
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

Media consensus is that Darcy will most likely re-sign with the Pies. My priority is that we get to re-sign Jake Lloyd, whom I've read could be demanding $500k multi year deal. Not convinced we require Darcy anyhow, as we have McCartin & Blakey in the wings as developing KPFs.

Why does Moore want out of the Pies? Barrett just throws stuff up without any substance too boost ratings - makes us throw up too!

I actually heard this same rumour from a friend of a friend (I know, I know) a few weeks ago. The reason given was that he had fallen out with Buckley, but not sure how that makes any sense now that he's back in the team.

Yeah a few people have been talking about this. It's not just Barrett making it up out of nowhere, there's something to it.

What's all this talk about Darcy Moore wanting to join the Swans? This, from Damien Barretts weekly 'Sliding Doors' article.

              "If.......

Darcy Moore wants to get the Swans really excited about the possibility of him joining them next year ...

              then.......

he'll be best-afield against the Cats on Sunday."

              News to me!

Post Edit: Oh, I see there's a dedicated thread started on this topic........

I think Reid, if he could stay fit, is a better player than Moore, although Moore has a development upside. Reid can't stay fit, so it might be a good thing......

He's back in the team because of the murmurings I'd say......

Out-of-contract, big-name footballer from Melbourne is linked to the Swans then carries on negotiations with current club. Nah, never heard that before.

Methinks, if the Swans were into him, it wouldn?t be a topic on the Footy Show - or this forum.

Correct - his manager using us as a stalking horse in the lead up to new contract negotiations. Travis Cloke anyone?

Would cost too much to extract from the Pies, get a FA for free I say.

Not really sure where he'd fit into our list anyway. Presumably the club hasn't given up on Reid, they like McCartin (even though he'll take a few years to develop) and we'll probably draft Blakey at the end of this season. There's no reason to think at the moment that the forward line won't be structured around Buddy for at least another 2-3 seasons, so we really need another couple of tall forwards to develop over that time frame. Moore won't come to Sydney to play NEAFL.

Haha very true ! They tend to keep these things rather covert don?t they? And famine Barrett is almost always wrong with his big scoops , he is a fair dinkum knob

Likely they would want more that Reid (I sure as hell would - I'm NARF - not a Reid fan )
I'd agree to that. Even if it was just to see McGuire head explode. He cracked it when we go Davis (which is what started his hatred for us), so I can only imagine he he would behave after a F/S choosing us over them.

Damian Barrett reported on the Footy Show last night that the Swans have targeted Darcy Moore who comes out of contract at the end of the year and are well placed above other clubs chasing him. Eddie immediately bursted out the Swans will require 15 1st round picks! Read article which I can't link, reporting Peter Moore is supposedly friends with Andrew Ireland as a potential family link.
I heard on 3AW that he even made reference to Mick Gatto, a Collingwood member (shock, horror) breaking the legs of Swans officials/management if this happened. Anyone know if this actually happened?

I assume the boys are living with their mother. Does anyone know which state Daryn lives (with his second wife)? I am wondering if the boys might come to Sydney to take part in the Sydney academy sometime in the future.

But you are right about the (immature) hysterics from North fans. While at the same time they are salivating about the prospect of getting Tarryn Tindall (Thomas), who is of indigenous descent, and has been talked about as one of Tasmania?s best prospects since he was about 14 with a clear pathway to the AFL draft. Yet North will have priority access to him simply because the AFL allocated North a zone in Tasmania for multicultural and indigenous kids. Boddo alerted us to this ?unintended consequence? of the NGA system a long time ago.

Quite hypocritical of North fans to complain about the Swans gaining access to Blakey through our academy (which I assume Blakey has been in for years) while accepting they should get Tindall-Thomas as an entitlement through their NGA.

Unlike Dunkley, Creswell and his sons still love the Swans.

Reading between the lines I think cresswell?s ex is probably still pretty angry about how they broke up n has not told Daryn about his sons being eligible to be drafted via the bidding system by the kangaroos & the Kangaroos have known they are eligible for a while.

It?s just that it?s finally come out now. The less time Sydney spends with them the more Iikely they choose the kangaroos.
