Just saw on a facebook AFL Trade Rumors page that apparently Gary Rohan was seen walking into North Melbourne headquaters with Zeibell, Tarrant, Cunnington and North GM Cameron Joyce. It stated a North supporter observed it today whilst apparently being there to purchase some merchandise from the NM Shop.
This does make some sort of sense to me as I believe that Rohan and Ben Cunnington were junior teammates and were extremely close.
Interesting...

I would get it if Gary felt a change of scenery is necessary to reignite his career......as unfortunately, it's stalled at the Swans. Hanners too.....although I think his best days are already behind him. The club should get the best deals they can for them.....
Interesting comments from Horse at the end of his post match press conference.....on Hanners : "Well, he's contracted." .....and on Lloyd : "Yeah, we hope Jake stays." So, Lloyd is definitely considering an outside offer (Suns) and a standard response on Hanners which means not a lot......Last edited by stevoswan; 9 September 2018, 04:59 PM.Comment

A few queries on some vets
Rohan get a tank and play wing or back flank we have too many small forwards
Smith insurance for a Toby Greene or similar opponent but need to move on from defenders that cant kick and carry the ball
Reg imsurance behimd alir and melican as a big defender
Jack insurance too slow need the younger guys running the midfield
Fringe Newman Robinson not in 22
Time to shine
Dawson high half fwd
Jones midfield
Mills midfield
Heeney Mid fwd
Ollie wing
Hayward high half fwd
Naismith more around the ground
Kennedy Parker mid fwd and only one in the middle at a timeComment

I think our failings this season which were brutally exposed yesterday are found in the midfield and up forward. Our inability to get the ball into our forward 50 sufficiently has exposed us all year. Hence targeting talent in these areas in the offseason will be critical. A key question for the list manager is whether we target an established midfielder or try to draft in a future star? Watching the Dees on Friday night they have a potential premiership side built around drafted elite talent such as Oliver and Brayshaw. Perhaps that’s our best bet too unless someone really good comes available at a reasonable price?

I know I am a broken record but id like to see us get both Todd Marshall and Nick Blakey this year.
We cant rely on bombing it to Buddy and this strategy got found out. He needs support and sooner or later he wont be there at all.
Mills needs to go in to the midfield. Then I'd love see Heeney, Jones, Dawson and Ronke get run through there as well.Comment

His best final by far was playing off the half back flank. Ronke has struggled, but Rohan has hardly set things alight in the ressies either."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

This Age article quotes Josh Kennedy on Hanners: "I expect him here next year"
Embarrassed Sydney captain Josh Kennedy has flagged an uncomfortable few weeks of soul-searching in the wake of the Swans' ignominious finals exit on Saturday, while claiming he expects vice-captain Dan Hannebery to be part of Sydney's 2019 campaign.
While Sydney's forward woes were unsurprisingly an area of focus after the game, the Swans' midfield was also made to look second-rate, with uncertainty surrounding whether the same group of on-ballers will lead Sydney's charge again next year. Three-time All-Australian Hannebery has endured a difficult year in which he has been plagued by injury and poor form, and his future at the club is up in the air.
While the 2012 premiership hero is contracted for another three years, he has been strongly courted by St Kilda. The Saints' football chief Simon Lethlean has a strong relationship with Hannebery, with the pair sharing a background in the Xavier College network.
However despite St Kilda's play for Hannebery, Kennedy maintained his long-time teammate - who will be 28 by the start of next season - would be a Swan in 2019.
"I expect him here next year," Kennedy said.
"I'm sure the club are working through it with him. He's contracted, he's an absolute star of the club and the club's history, so I'm sure we'll work something out."
Another of Sydney's stars, Jake Lloyd, is out-of-contract, with coach John Longmire saying on Saturday he was hopeful Lloyd would remain with the Swans.Comment

I saw that posted on Facebook this morning. According to the NMFC website the NM shop is not open on Sundays. I saw Gary, Aime and Bella last night around 8pm on their way to the carpark at the Entertainment Quarter. Plus he played in the NEAFL yesterday. So something not right there re the timeline.
