    pretty sure that was McCartin
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

Looked like Towers to me, but was unsure as we were on the opposite side of the ground.

That was a goal gone begging.
I think it was McCartin. The best part of it was that Heeney didn't remonstrate, he just turned around and got to his position.

Never thought I'd say this, but Taylor has become the superior commentator (it helps that he now knowsour players). Bruce is almost self-parody now. He clearly has favourites and only watches the games he calls.

          OK. Cheers guys.
I bet McCartin remonstrated with himself after that kick.

But with no Marsh, Melican or Aliir who will take O'Brien? He is 192cm. Mills has a few problems with very high marking forwards and this bloke takes huge grabs.

The other problem I have is Harry still being picked. His form ahas been iffy to just terrible. His disposal has been very ordinary. Papley can count himself lucky this week too. His output for a forward/mid is woeful. He has kicked 5.10 and has an average of 13.5 disposals/game. I get sick of Longmire drafting a small forward and then trying to turn them into mids all the time. Leave them forward and let them have some fun.

Congratulations to McCartin for his debut but if Horse think Tom is going to fix the high marking problem then he's bloody deluded. While the kid can take a grab most of his best work is done on the lead or from opportunistic snaps. Including Cameron in the team would have helped the high marking heaps. Plus this would have given Sinclair a good rest forward where he can be so dangerous.

As for Robbo. I don't know because I'm not a fly on the wall at the footy club. But it seems to be as though the lad thought the coach had lost confidence in him. Hence the asking for a transfer. Maybe he was only looking for regular seniors time. But every time he comes into the seniors he doesn't do the natural things that can make his game so good. Marking, running to the space, sidestepping, taking the first option, hard ball gets. These are all in his repertoire and he seems to be able to apply them in the reserves quite easily. Yet at seniors level he seems hesitant. Longmire keeps picking him so he must rate him but if he disappoints much mor,e I think his days will be numbered and his appearances at senior level in the negative.

I am a bit skeptical about this match. I am not sure we have the right combo to beat them. By the way they will be good in the wet. They handle the ball like it is dry. After all Victoria has had far more rain than us this year. Last year too. They do play in Tassie and that is sleetingly cold and slippery wet. Yet we normally have less days but more volume. The Hawks are a very good side no matter what the skeptics say. They are developing a little quicker than expected and are fast going past us. I'm not looking forward to this game as Horse is Clarko's bunny.
            Embarrassing.

Bit surprised. Thought it was a bit reckless but it does happen very quickly. His physicality and game breaking is huge for us even though he is careless at times and tries to do too much.

But we all know what will happen now. Now he's " raised consciousness".They will penalise our defenders even more for imagined blocks. There'll be pre-emptive frees paid against us. Reg gets an unfair go as it is. The scragging on Gary Rohan, and sometimes Isaac last night was so blatant , and Horse doesn't whinge.

I agree with Stellation - Jack's played that half forward role pretty well this year. Often hits targets inside 50 with short, smart kicks. He had 7 I50s last night and is third best Swan in that category over the year.

Separately, I thought Robinson had his best senior game in a while, if not ever. He got caught with it a little bit, but also had some good touches and seemed to want the ball.

Agree with those who praised McCartin's debut. He had 4 marks and I reckon those were mostly decent clunks on the lead up the ground.

So excited about Hayward - genuine star. Also excited by Ollie's game - still can make bad decisions under pressure, but getting more of it and an excellent kick.

Jones is a very valuable player when he runs the ball out of defence like that.

?Former Richmond coach Danny Frawley believes Sydney showed the blueprint of how to stop Hawthorn midfielder Isaac Smith.

Smith has been described as in career best form, but Swans midfielder Harry Cunningham tagged him to 16 disposals in his side?s victory over the Hawks.

Frawley explained how Cunningham was so effective.

?You put a hard tag on him and Harry Cunningham made the point that he played on Smith?s left leg,? he said.

?That?s the way he loves to run, he loves to run onto his left and he had to change his running angle.

?On his right, Smith doesn?t feel as comfortable and it was a very good tactic.?
Find it hard to listen to anything Frawley says and take it seriously...

I stopped listening to Frawley, and a number of other commentators, after the Goodsey fiasco. Showed their true colours then.

Anyone see that one-handed grab by Hawkins against the Giants last week? That was classic O'Loughlin. I loved it when he used to do that. He was like a magician doing tricks at a kids party - would be wrestling for position and then "Here comes the ball! Where did it go? Oh look what this is behind my back! It's the ball!"

If I remember rightly, there would be an occasional little twirl of the ball, as well.
