Oh for @@@@s sake, is he serious? He loses one close one against us and he feels the need to whinge to the boss. He is absolutely insane. The umpiring did not cost Hawthorn the game, their inaccurate kicking accomplished that. Could you imagine what Clarkson would have said had Hawthorn been destroyed by the umpires in the 2016 GF like we were?Clarko taking his complaints all the way to Gil

I?ve got to say, there needs to be a little more concrete information before everyone loses their noodle over that Fox Sports report.
All it really says is that Gil and Clarko met in a cafe with a laptop. No details about what they even spoke about.
Questionable journalism (if you can even use that term).Comment

I did think that, but then I remembered how much he was going on about it over the weekend - as if it wasn't spoken of.I?ve got to say, there needs to be a little more concrete information before everyone loses their noodle over that Fox Sports report.

Easy StevoOff to sook to the headmaster. Operation "put the Swans back in their place" begins.......sick Victorian bastards. The Swans should immediately seek a meeting with Gil the dill as well......to set the record straight. Proactive measures need to be taken to stop the all pervading influence of Victorian clubs on their Victorian based leader of this Victorian based league. Integrity? You've got to be kidding......and they do it all in full public view, safe in the knowledge that 60 - 70% of the supporter base is Vic biased and based and comfortable with Vic biased league decisions. We and the other non Vic clubs should be doing more to stop it.....but maybe a little less publicly, lest the ill informed Vic supporters get wind and start to sook to MMM and Eddie.
The Victorian angst is a little immature
Plenty of good Victorian Swans supporters on hereComment

Yep and to clarify, I wrote my post before listening to Horse?s Monday presser. He pretty much confirms the story, having also spoken to Gil today. So, play on...Comment

Well, it's questionable journalism calling it a "secret meeting", when they met publicly in a cafe. But I do wonder what the purpose of a public meeting was? Was it to demonstrate that he (Clarkson) has easy access to power, and therefore, his complaints should be taken seriously? Or did Gil just need something to do for an hour or so? Who knows?I?ve got to say, there needs to be a little more concrete information before everyone loses their noodle over that Fox Sports report.

Me included.....but you know what the average MMM listening Vic club supporter is like. Misinformed bogan idiots who crave for the 'old days' before 'interstate infiltration'...... and you can't claim the AFL don't take advantage of majority Vic supporter base to get away with Vic bias decisions.

As if I meant Vic based Swan supporters.....grow up.Comment

I took your comments the same as ?Plugger? - and appreciated his response. I didn?t, in any way suggest that you had an issue with ?Vic based Swan supporters? - it was the general assessment of an us versus them mentality.

Are we all stupid? Obviously, contained in his laptop was a plethora of carefully selected examples from Friday night and maybe past games where Swans defenders had acted in the way he intimated in his post match presser and no examples of how his own players do exactly the same thing. Yes, it was a very public meeting, which indicates that Clarko and even Gil himself believe a meeting which, to many would give rise to 'conflict of interest' and 'league integrity' questions, should not raise any questions at all......these are the actions of those who see themselves as 'untouchable' and 'entitled' and I can't believe some on this site are implying there is 'nothing to see here'. There is a lot to see and it stinks......Well, it's questionable journalism calling it a "secret meeting", when they met publicly in a cafe. But I do wonder what the purpose of a public meeting was? From recent experience, this 'mentality' is well founded and relevant.....or have you been on Mars since we recruited Buddy.

What irritates me about Clarko?s comments is the suggestion that it is a pattern of our (the Swans) behaviour.
His references to the Kangaroos game (and Brown v Rampe) is particularly annoying as Brown received two free kicks that night that I could not understand. I replayed them multiple times and kept going through the list of possible infringements, but was unable to find anything, other than Brown running forward with his arms in the air. I was hoping that the Fox team would highlight them during the week, but it didn?t happen.
My hope now is that a commentator takes Clarko to task so that his assessment can be proved false - maybe then he will have done us a favour.
