We play much better with our backs against the wall... on talent alone we should never have lost to Hawthorn at home, even with those players out! They are also missing some quality players.

Who were they missing? I know Frawley, but don't think anyone approaching Buddy or Parker...please enlighten me.

When was the last time Ronke played a good game? I like him and see him in our future but in reality if we had anyone else half decent in the NEAFL he'd be either dropped or at least rested for a game in the last few weeks.

Hawks were more desperate in the contest at the end. Too many of our players waited back when they should have attacked - and yet we still had chances to win. I think that is why it was so frustrating.

Gotta disagree. He brings intensity, ferocious tackling efforts, leg speed and a bit of x-facror

Sicily Ok - Birchall past it, Frawley yep I acknowledged him but he is borderline too. Don't know Howe - unless he has moved from Collingwood. Langford - please.

My observation is that Ben Ronke gets impetuous with the ball in hand. He needs a couple more seconds think time about what to do. Then again when he has a chance to take off he can stand there instead of moving it on. A couple of things I see he needs to work on. Still a 20yo.

Well Rioli would be a handy in for starters, Then Sicily who would be All Australian if he didn't get hurt. You've already mentioned Frawley who would have played on Buddy anyway no doubt. Howe is a good young player. Then Birchall who has missed all year but is quality. Enlightened???

We are missing players too but we are playing at home. Should've still won...

You asked who they were missing, not who was any good. Mind you they would all probably get a game with us.

Balances out Tippett who is permanently out! Just too many injured tonight, hoipefully we get a few available in a fortnight.

Must acknowledge George Hewett's game, yet again he does the job, a much better footballer than most give him credit for. Will be up there in the B&F.

Yep Tippett and Naismith would be handy too. @@@@ me - Rioli - he is gone. Sicily *would be* All Australian - Ok didn't know that. Frawley a bloody slow plodder. Howe - hasn't registered on my list - still might be ok. Are you sure you are not Luke Darcy?

The biggest culprit of hanging back was Aliir. Looked so lost. His timing was all off and slipped over so often that I thought he was wearing Dunlop volleys.
Tom McC also didn't quite know what to do. I think he missed the structure of more senior big bodies up front tonight where he could have just competed & brought the back to ground for the smalls. If you're THE focal forward, you need to successfully compete.
Jack, a cool head but that's not much use when you're slow as treacle.
Jones - honestly his decision making is questionable. At least he didn't take his angry pills tonight
                              Fox & Dawson. Cameos
Hanners - he has been a great servant of the club but if that's his audition for the Saints, I'm not sure what we'll do with the future 5th rounder they should offer us for him.

I know Heeney is the second coming but does anyone else think he doesn't do enough?
