His best years were 2014 and 2015 when he became a complete player. He still hasn't returned to that level at WCE, although he's very good with ball in hand and he's working pretty hard and makes a nice dynamic trio with Ryan and Rioli.

Jetta ain't lazy, he's one of the most composed AFL player I've seen in years. You've mistaken his composure for laziness. A lot of great athletes possesses this inner calm demeaner about them....think Roger Federer, it looks like the game slows down for him. It's a quality needed to get in the zone.

Watching Darcy Moore last night I couldn't help but feel he would look much better in red and white

Well you never know. Talk has been of us getting someone from left field. Pies are tight on the salary cap. Have lots of defenders. I reckon he was pretty close to joining us last year. We might have another crack at season's end. Fancy pick 4/5 Eddie?

When he's played like that consistently for a whole season without getting injured then I'd be interested. There does seem to be an idea about on BF that we're using JD as a smoke screen and we're really after Brodie Grundy.

                He showed heaps. Idiotic decision.

                  Aardvark, now you're talking.
Imagine how pissed the AFL, especially Eddie, would be.
They would slap us with a 10 year trading ban if we pulled off the second biggest heist of the 21st century (Buddy).
                  I have 2 questions:
                  1) If Brodie wanted out to come specifically to us, what would it cost trade wise? Pick 4 + Jones and Cameron (Jones not necessarily direct to pies but maybe picks from St Kilda)
                  2) If he came, could we call him Reg the 2nd?
Btw I realise this is so unlikely, it's almost not worth talking about but on the other hand, I find it fascinating enough to think about it aloud.

I suppose if you could pick any player to trade in he'd have to be number 1. He's probably the player who would help us the most. What would it take? 6 years+9 million?

Remember the days when Barry hall and plugger came to us just because they wanted to and we didn't have to pay overs on $$$ or timespan.
That's what we want to get back to.

Will the 2020 draft be the most compromised in history?

                            Selected quotes from the article:
"The naming last week of the under-17s NAB AFL All Stars sides for their Grand Final morning clash at the MCG gave an insight into why clubs are already wondering whether next year's group looks like being one of the most compromised in draft history.

Of the 48 players selected for the game, 17 are tied to AFL clubs around the competition as either potential father-sons, Next Generation Academy picks or northern Academy products."

"The talking point about next year's draft will clearly start with how many players are already off-limits, rather than the open pool. It's also something that will be a factor in this year's Trade Period as clubs prepare to part with picks (and draft points) or bring more in."

The "rules" for who is eligible as an NGA are flimsy as. If you have a parent who isn't Australian or some such twaddle. The vast majority, if not all, were already playing AFL and in AFL pathway systems already.

Typical VFL, knee jerk reaction to the Northern academies and heavily compromised drafts will be the norm from now. To keep it vaguely fair, there is now a reliance on clubs to bid on players about their correct worth to stop bargains being had.

This years draft relies on Crows at pick 3 or us at pick 4 to bid on Green to make sure GWS pay the right, albeit discounted, price.

What has been forgotten, of course, is that the northern academies were originally set up as an equalisation measure. The AFL has lost the plot.
