Jones is gawn, so lets get the best we can for him and use it whichever way is best for us, but leave 4 alone.

All this talk about Papley's squeeze, maybe after all it is not Pap's girl, but the Jones girl. Sam and Tom may have got it backside about.

But maybe Ralph we are keeping him because he was 18. We took him him knowing about his ACL. I don't think they will ditch him because what I have read is he is pretty handy.

Bit like Ling maybe? I've seen his highlights package and he does look handy. I'm happy to go with the medic's assessment on it all.

Although just read his bio and he did that knee early in his draft year. If he gets back on the field in 2020, it would've been 2+ years since he played. Imagine the our recruiters would've rookie listed him hoping he would play sometime this year.

He's been out this year due to a hamstring injury, not the ACL from the previous year.

I think Pink has shown enough and unfortunately it may be that Maibaum gets the axe.
Tucker is a concern injury wise, came to the club recovering from an ACL then seems to have picked up more injuries, even without playing. He's of the medium size and with Mills, Dawson and O'Riordan ahead if him by a long margin, I would delist him too.
So Rose, Fox, Maibaum and Tucker would be my changes to the roster.
Thanks for this RD! Good on you for putting forward some concrete suggestions when confronted with some really difficult choices. I agree with delisting Fox and Rose, although it sucks too. I think Maibaum is a really tough one, unless we trade in another KPD (Keath please! Francis also good). However, again I tend to agree. Tucker is another tough one. We drafted him injured but he picked up another, different serious injury. He was considered an elite interceptor and good ball user coming out of defence in his bottom age year. He's a bit like Bennell: high upside, but lots of risk. Contrast someone like Wicks with relatively lower upside but much less risk. Given we have Papley, Hayward, Ronke and Foote competing for a similar role maybe we need Wicks less?

Anyway, we may need to cut even more players, particularly if we recruit by way of trade (or have a net gain of players after trading). Interesting trade period coming up.

I'm not looking forward to this off-season. I'm missing the footy already and we haven't even had finals yet! Can't wait until we have an AFLW team and they play a proper length AFLW season which will extend our footy year.

The fact that nobody has been delisted yet suggests that our list managers aren't finding it that straightforward either and it could depend on what happens during the trade period.

Given the 4 retirements then no rush to delist anyone.

I think the fact that the NEAFL team is still alive is the most obvious reason why no-one has yet been delisted.

And this is my concern. If his ACL recon was not done well and / or he hasn't rehabed well, then he will forever be prone to leg injuries, both sides. But, happy to leave it to the medicos to make that call.

From memory, Tucker was tipped to be a top 40 draft pick prior to doing his ACL at the start of his draft season. I think that the club will persist with him.

One of the hosts of the AFL Podcast released today mentioned that the Swans "might have a bit of interest in Archie Smith", and Carlton interested in Darcy Cameron.

Darcy much stronger in the forward line than Archie but Archie superior as a pure ruck, quite mobile and athletic and consistently bests Darcy in the hit outs. Given our playing style and list, Archie would be a more than adequate replacement for Darcy. If this can be done for a good price, then I would be for it.

On that basis it's delist Naismith!

The club has seen a heap of Archie Smith so would know him fairly well.
