2020 trading, drafting and list management: players and personnel

Obviously you didn’t watch trading day on Foxtel. They we’re saying how great and smart we are at trading. We will have a great draft haul this year and next and we should be at the top end of the ladder in the next couple of years. While some of the commentary on here has been apocalyptic, I believe the club owes its fans way more explanation on what's going on with the list - we're being asked to show faith in the young brigade and stay true, only to watch it marched out the club for trivial return. That tests my faith and it clearly tests many others as well. The social media backlash to the AA deal has been extreme and the club finds itself in the very unusual position (for the Swans at least) of having to deal with great waves of discontent - I'm hoping (but not necessarily hopeful) for a more transparent response than we've been used to.Comment

One thing's for sure. Whatever problems we have, we're not Collingwood.
Something stinky there.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

The influence of the Fabulous Five on this year's draft is becoming more evident.
* The top six picks are all held by their original clubs.
* Only six picks in the rest of the first round and the whole of the second round are held by the original clubs (not including compensation picks).

This is Collingwood. They don't bathe more often than once a month."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Not to bang on about it but worth noting that Fantasia + pick 79 netted pick 29 and a future third from Port. That’s more like what we should have got for AA. AA more resilient, versatile and tall. And contracted. Fantasia injury prone small forward who has shown flashes of brilliance.

Jeez as a player or Manager you wouldn't be signing long term contracts at Collingwood - what a bloody debacle. De Goey will be pushed out next year I think.Comment

Well that's good enough for me nws 6 years' worth of evidence to the contrary.
One article I read recently (think perhaps the Age) was quite categorical (as media reports often are) that we are taking the hyphenated defender (not LRT, another one whose name I can't now recall). How would we feel about that? Please tell me this isn't another KB passion project?Comment

Treloar to dogs for a future second rounder. Compared to that, we got way overs for Aliir. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.Comment
