That's why I would be looking to target Ladhams and Chol to fill that KPF/ruck spot. There are some others as well that have mixed reviews, like Peter Wright.

I will wait for further developments in the ET case, but chances are that he's broken his contract and can be sacked.

I meant Dom Tyson, not Taylor Adams. I often get these ex-GWS players mixed up, like who went where. I have particular trouble confusing Tyson and Adams. Sometimes I conflate them into one player, and think there's someone called Tyson Adams.

I'd like to combine Lewis Taylor and Ryan Clarke into one player with an enormous tank and good skills. Taylor Clarke?

Or if you want him to have an adventurous spirit: Lewis N Clarke.

These are the latest Draft Central rankings.

Draft Central Power Rankings: September 2020 - Aussie Rules Draft Central

In regards to our academy prospects, Campbell has gone from 6 to 7, because they've bumped McDonald up to 3. While they still have Gulden outside their top 25. Although they did note that he's been in excellent form in the SFL.

You're beating me to it, Deja. Maybe it's time for me to head out to a quiet pasture. .

I had to google it. Thought initially it was a play on Burke and Wills

They were a fair bit more successful than Burke and Wills. I've read a couple of books on their expedition. Both of them mention, that in Melbourne, Burke had a reputation for getting lost on the way back from the pub. Probably not a great choice, to lead a transcontinental expedition.

How much should we offer Carlton for De Koning? Just what we need. Happy to pay overs.

                          I'd take that too.

Tonights result is frustrating, but good for our draft prospects. And I'm really intrigued by what strategy we will take to the draft this year.

We know what we are getting in Campbell and Gulden, but I do wonder whether (assuming we get our first draft pick before them) what we will pick. Would we look at someone like a Riley Tilthorpe for a ruck/forward option to develop over time (that could slot in sooner). Do we make a call on Tom Mc as our long term CHB and then look for another power forward on that basis. Do we look for an inside midfielder (Which is where I'd go) and look at someone like Tanner Bruhn.

I actually think our list is in pretty reasonable shape for going forward, but with obvious gaps to solve in the bull inner midfielder space (Rowbottom will become one for that role, but more is needed), and of course the ruck (Sinkers may well be about cooked, Naismith is a huge doubt to ever be on the park, and Knoll seems to be be nowhere at the moment either).

My greatest wish for next year is that Campbell and Gulden are guns at centre clearances.

Mills was a gun at centre clearances once upon a time. Too bad we haven't developed him in his natural position.

I've never, ever understood this to be honest.

I still think we need to go hard for another inside bull - someone like a Bruhn if we can snag them. Both Gulden and Campbell have plenty of ability on the outside too, but can rotate through the midfield. We need to get back to headier days of 2005 and 2012 when we had a range of midfielders that could roll through there, but a reliable bunch of first choice midfielders to do the grunt work. Tonight showed how much that is a huge struggle at the moment, and I think Gulden and Campbell by the sounds of it offer too much around the ground to try and make them into midfield bulls.

Another James Rowbottom style player would be perfect to be honest.
