For me, as soon as the umpiring goes ridiculous it completely ruins the game . I don't mind losing, but I do mind when the umpires influence a game. So I guess I whinge because I just get really disappointed that a game that was interesting becomes another umpire influenced game. And the same thing happens in other games too even when the Swans aren't playing.

Anyway, off to watch the tour. Nice to have a mid week chat with you folks, always interesting to read what the people here have to say.

Not all of us have Foxtel and don't see the other things that influence the game.....but we still like to post on this thread. I only have my stats to go on....and the frees are stuffed!!

....and we lost by only five points. Happy?

        I blame the weather.

I'm certain that most of the rain fell on our players. It's just not right! Victorian bias.

What a disappointing end after such a good start. As I mentioned before we just fumbled too much.

A shame Taylor couldn't kick that goal to draw the match.

On balance it favoured them, but squared up in the final minute. Just didn't take advantage.

Mission accomplished, more games into kids, some excitement early, found a CHB, umpiring to whinge about, chuckle about how much Carlton gave for McGovern and the $750k they're paying him, pick 4 consolidated, good bottle of Shiraz consumed

Free kicks were 18 to 12 them. They are never going to be even but the umpires were poor more so with the frees they didn't pay and that was for both sides. We shouldn't have lost that but hopefully the young side will learn something from it.

Meredith was umpiring the 2016 GF wasn't he? No surprise this happened. He has throw blindness.

How @@@@ing good is McCartin? My favourite player. You just know you could rely on him in the grand final. Dude's a backman now.

So frustrating that was. We were garbage in the second half, and the maggots (up until the very last free) did everything they could to get Carlton back into the game in the middle quarters in particular. And it seems incorrect disposal is no longer part of our game, may it rest fully in peace. The amount of rugby league passes or pure dropping the balls tonight - saying that its been part of it for

We should of won that comfortably, but lost composure late - really blew that chance when Blakey got tackled.... just needed some better thinking through it. A few times in the second half poor decision making really hurt us.

The wanking over a very ordinary carlton team in the commentary box was pretty bludy sickening too. For the billion first round draft picks they've accumulated over the last decade, and half of GWS they've taken off as caste offs, they are still a bludy ordinary football team. At least in the same period we've won a flag, been robbed of another, played in another grand final no longer mentioned as happening, and played in multiple finals. Carlton can go @@@@ off lol - never liked them ever since they tried to kill us off and feed on our carcass in the 90s.

We shouldn't have lost? They dominated possession and territory. We were lucky to hang on as long as we did.

Umpires didn’t help for sure but we just ran out of steam after the first qtr really. And, once again, got a an absolute belting out of the middle. This team needs a gun inside mid. Joeys not what he was, nor is Parker. Rowbottom still learning. After that there’s nothing. Oh And a decent ruckman.
