He received a text message during the show from a contact. Doesn't make sense to me given Pyke said when he pulled out of Pies job that he was focusing continuing his role with us next year, which he's been enjoying and Sydney life with family. He would have to do a big back flip if there was any credence to this rumour. Carlton haven't yet given up on Clarkson and are trying to woo him by enticing Brian Cook to be their CEO.Comment

I always wonder why people who have had outwardly esteemed careers like Sayers or Pridham want to get into AFL. For an honorary position it contains a high profile and potentially reputational risk if things don’t work out.Well, if true, that's a turn around! Who would want to work for Luke Sayers? He treats the previous coach terribly by stringing him along and giving him death by a thousand cuts, and then solicits potential CEOs right in front of the nose of the current CEO (who decided to resign today).
My wife used to work for Sayers at PwC. She described him as ruthless, arrogant and only interested in money. He also paid lip service to staff welfare. Great bloke to work for! Lyon was smart to walk away.
Why put your hard earned career reputation at risk for the sake of a football club?Comment

Seriously though, he must have the IQ and personality of an ant if he wants to live in Adelaide

Dawson has disappointed all. Closer to Family is always a good "excuse". He must have been offered a very good financial reward as well as Port Adelaide is close to a flag window. First Allir and now Dawson, wonder more Swans will follow !!! Can we insist to trade him to the Crows and not the Powers?Comment

I can’t spin much positivity out of this. Dawson is the biggest loss of them all including Tom Mitchell.Comment
