Whichever King is at Stkilda (Ben?), surely wants out of the intense scrutiny of being in Melbourne. He looks very unhappy.

Its not like we are against poaching gun forward from the 'aints. They should be expecting it.

He’d be a very handy addition. Perhaps Lockett can work with him on his goal kicking?

Reid's injury has exposed a glaring weakness in our roster, namely the forward / ruck. Buddy and McDonald don't ruck and it seems there is an unwillingness to use McLean to ruck. Sinclair is too old / slow as a forward and Naismith is in no way a forward. Playing 2 pure rucks effects team balance too much. So if McLean is not up to providing proper relief to Hick, perhaps we need to give Amartey a try at some point this season? I also hope we have started talking to players like Chol for next season and beyond as Reid being fit for an extended run seems even less likely than Buddy.

Max King just signed a 4-year extension till end 2016 with St Kilda. Maybe he just has a resting unhappy face [emoji45].

Hang on. In American sports there are famous stories of free agents getting phone calls while working in retail stores and jumping on the next plane to the city where the franchise is based.

It’s called being prepared to go to work at your shot at professional sports.

I think all this talk about families, uni, jobs and only 3-4 months work is non applicable. Here is your shot at prefessional sports. Take it or don’t.

I like the idea of mid season trading. We better plan for injury problems.

Ben is the far better kick....I'd much rather him anyway. That being said, I'd hate for us to be one of those clubs (like Victorian) who feast over the bones of a weak interstate clubs carcass.

But most of the clubs are in Sydney and the social circle in the AFL is very broad. Why would they talk business in the open?

You’d think Max will sort it out but if I’m sure of anything about other sides or players in the comp, it’s that if the GC develop into a half decent team Ben will absolutely terrorise the rest of the comp for a decade. Give me one young player to transplant into our team it’s him.

There has been sightings of Richmond players walking along Eastern Suburbs beaches. I think they may be in Sydney for the week to hub outside Victoria.

Great opportunity for some Melbourne based AFL players to experience the beauty and anonymity of Sydney.

Some Melbourne based AFL players, whom had never considered Sydney as a place to live, may be surprised about the peaceful lives that can be had here.

I think he would be a great fit as a key forward. We have enough young midfield bulls. He is big enough to play key forward, is strong in the air and would destroy any key back on the ground.

You could still throw him into midfield occasionally.

Enthused about our young midfield bulls as i am, i have to say Bangalore that if we got a certified gun like Patrick Cripps, it would be madness not to play him in the midfield!! What a welcome addition he would be!! We would be able to reinvent one of the other mids in some way shape or form to fit him in, and i DO hope we try! He is a top 10 player in the competition when at his capacity!!

                                Lachlan McAndrew it is!

I don't understand why we'd add him to our list now, rather than wait until the end of the season? Or does this mean we want to play him
