Bizarre! Every time I see it I feel like I've entered some brainwashed cult where people just pat each other on the back all the time.
Any key defenders or intercepting defenders on the market????? After a quick look at out of contract players (many of whom I must admit I am not familiar with), Jake Kelly (Adel), Marcus Adams (Bris), Jack Hombsch (GC), CJ (Hawks) and Ed Richards (dogs) could all be good gets. Hope we've had a chat with CJ, as he looks the best of the bunch in terms of what we need
Interesting list management times - despite the overly negative tone in some quarters, I do think we've made a good deal of progress from last year and are on broadly the right track with our list development. There are plenty of gaps to fill - very happy to accept that. But I sense we are starting to be on the upswing, rather thens till looking for the bottom of the cycle."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

What a gift Simon Dalrymple left the Bulldogs after departing them for the Swans at the end of 2017 draft. Drafted Aaron Nuaghton at pick 9, who is looking the best in the draft, as well as Ed Richards at pick 16. We, unfortunately, are left with Matt Ling. That draft alone could determine a few premierships in the coming decade.Comment

I'm going to preface my post by saying everything is easy in hindsight.
The 2017 draft was a lost opportunity to replenish our tall player stocks. We used pick 14 on Ling, who at the time was touted as a fleet footed mid, in the process, missing out on CCJ and Oscar Allen (picks 20 and 21). We also could've got Sam Taylor, Balta or Tom de Konig. Granted, we did take McCartain but what a difference it would've made having any of those other young talls we missed out on. Although not a tall, pick 15 was Zac Bailey, who is an absolute jet.Comment

Sorry to bother you all, had a chat with Sth Aus sister who said someone on here stated JDawson wants to return to ADL!
I haven't seen it anywhere, did I miss something?
Will be bloody upset if it's true.Comment

I haven't heard or read anything like that. Sounds like pure conjecture at the moment. Having said that, I'd love him to resign soon.Comment

eeeeissshhhhhh imagine watching AA, Dawson, Hayward, Gould, Hewett and or Dyl playing for Port.........or even worse Adelaide
lol
we might loose one more to a list like the Crows who have a big cheque balance now..........but hopefully not"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Close to my favourite player, will be hugely annoyed if he sticks his hand up for a move. He's from Robe on the south coast, family are cray fishers, so he's not an Adelaide boy as such.
So Cows are a danger to us this trade period, are rebuilding, got Dawson in their sights and Adelaide boys Stephens and Gould not getting games :-(Comment

Cal Twomey's Phantom Form Guide: Best draft prospects ranked
Cal Twomey's first phantom form guide for the season. I predict Ludwig will like the look of Mac Andrew, a young ruck, who is ranked at about the level our pick will be - so a plausible option for us if you would consider using a first round pick on a ruck (many wouldn't). At this early stage it seems that Josh Gibcus could be ideal for us but is unlikely to slip to our pick. All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)Comment

Although some of the more superstitious fans, might not like their first choice being Amiss. And personally, I can see the appeal of our future ruck division being Mac Andrew and McAndrew.Comment
