Even by the AFL.com.au normal standards, that has got to be an enormous waste of time and space. Dumb approach to what was already a pointless exercise.

Nice interview with Will Gould on Swans website. I hope the coaches give Will games next season as he is part of our Next Gen. Given 2 tough seasons honing his skills during Covid with the reserves. It's his time to break out. Go Will

Jones the only midfield success we had in the first 2 rounds over the last decade , and he wasnt that great . F'd off to St kilda. Mitchell , Heeney, Mills etc dont count as they are academy or father son selections No talent identification involved there , just matching bids

No, just in the case of Mills and Heeney entire player development from woah to go

He needs a big pre-season, that is for sure. Want to see a lot more from him in reserves (i.e. being a dominant player) hopefully early next year, but he certainly hasn't been helped by the horrendous mess reserves has been. But big deferences nearly always take time too, and we can show some more patience yet.

We have a strong young midfield group with Sheather looking a promising prospect. We might rookie draft Academy prospect Angry Anderson. And we can use picks 31 and 39 on midfield types; there are plenty of good mids to come from that part of the draft.

I see that Campbell Chesser and Leek Alleer are the 2 picks before our 2nd pick. Both are players we would be interested in. Chesser is a chance with our 1st pick too. He was rated in the top 10 at one time.

Cal Twomey is the one who usually gets the closest to what goes down on draft night.
We'd no doubt be "Bound for Glory" if this was to happen

Not talking about player development , talking about talent identification . Finding mid sized talents at the draft , we are shocking inside the top 30 , Jones is our best . and our record with mids is boosted by the academy players and our later draft steals such as Chad and Jmac and most famously Luke Parker ! hopefully Stephens or Florent changes that . Last one frustrates me

Agree. So disappointed with our first round picks that are not academy or F/S since McVeigh.

Think Towers, Ling, Florent (ok), Lamb, Johnston, Rohan (a number 6 pick!), Vespremi, Willougby, O'Keefe.

Jetta was a star whilst with us, and it is early days for Logan and Campbell, but really we have done far far worse than 50% success rate with our 'live' first round picks.

Not at all Bangalore, but my sprays couldn’t make it on YouTube due to the xpletives (impossible to bleep out) apart from the colourful content- though I was always careful not to target any specific player, unlike friend Ronald Dale.

Focus on the group as a whole, and even though there were always a handful of players who did ok, I let the whole team know that they were playing like girl guides, though you couldn’t say that today! ????????

That's a pretty big list of flops and average performers. Luckily, we have made up for that with later picks who turned into excellent midfielders eg Hanners, Parker, Hewitt, Jack together with some brilliant trades eg Kennedy, McGlynn.

Did you get your veins to pop out of your neck and your face to be as blood shot as Barneby Joyce’s?

Did the whole grand stand start shaking like it was 7 on the Richter scale?

Did you walk out of the dressing room, look up at the crowd and see the grandma’s and older ladies doing high fives because finally a real man had stood up to the misguided youth of today? Did the assistant coaches avoid you like your were Darth Vader in a bad mood?

Did the runner hide in the urinal, scared that they were next?

These are all the KPI’s of a great local spray.

Admit it, you saw me in my previous life! Horse witnessed one such occasion and vowed to never ever emulate what he had just seen and heard. That’s what made him such an outstanding coach…………

It ain't a spray that gets Barnaby looking like that. I mean, beetroot juice does special things to people, especially before lunch. And lord, given my habits - no problems here. I just don't think it would be wise for me to be Deputy PM.

And BS: you are a funny bugger, whether you intend to be or not. That grandma image is seriously vivid.
