That was my experience when secretary of a junior club in the Eastern suburbs in the 90's. Seemed that kids of certain people got on the U18 list or invited to train ahead of others who were better footballers. I recall a situation when my son's team played lets say a "better club", when someone from the Eastern Ranges came over to me ( I was running the boundary) at half time and said, "How come we don't know of that kid". My answer; "because we are not in the clique. Pity you guys don't come and watch our club. By the way he was on our nominated list submitted to ER as requested". The particular kid ended up playing in the GF at the MCG 2 years later and acquitted himself very well.

bit of a re run of the hawthorn days with Bud, Roughie, Mitch, Hodge, Lewis, Guerra, Cyril etc

But i suspect despite the player having 90% other key attributes that matter more..........lefties stand out with their field kicking

Our game plan has become much more interesting and in alignment with sharp kicking uncontested possession..............the lefties seem to do this in spades

      Rampe
      Blakey
      Campbo
      Gulden
      Bud
      Hickey
      Ladhams
      Stephens
      Warner Jnr
      Angus
      Roberts

there are at least 11 in our squad which is approx double the society average

          yep lol

          doh

i forgot my bench for the AFL team

          all rectified

Chad included on the bench.......just for 2022 rd 1

Chad could start eating people and be a starter by rd 1

the kid is such a competitor !

Does anyone have an insight as to what happens next? When and how can we list Paddy McCartin? Appreciate some clarity as today was an absolute anticlimax. And the AFL's online coverage was a bloody mess!!!!

Yes I saw that, Auntie. My question is what happens next. When will we list Paddy or whoever to the remaining spots, if there are any spots left?

Doesn’t he need some kind of clearance (paddy McCartin clearance) from the AFL?

Just read on Fox Sports website that all clubs need to provide final lists by 4pm Monday. Then we will know who is on what list and if we have any spots left. There is a Supplementary listing allowed from early Dec to Jan.

If the Warner family move to Sydney, and the other two sons join the swans academy… do we get first crack.

or will Rankin be the opposite to a NANO? and a prodigious selection at pick 58?

Well, I thought Papley's two grandfathers that played for the Swans, should have equated to father son eligibility: so, I could be convinced by two brothers.

I've enjoyed this a few times, especially their mum: Sydney Swans on Twitter: "It doesn't get much better than this!
The moment Corey Warner and his family found out he would be a Swan + scenes from his friends reacting at their school leavers celebrations down the south coast of WA!

                              . Four sons; some pay-off.

Clearly unhappy to be drafted by an interstate team and a definite flight risk! [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]
