McInerney had 12 touches yesterday in a high possession game, on a big deck, that was well suited to him. He's the logical player to make way for Rowbottom.
    McLean for Buddy.

Stephens is tough to miss out, but is probably waiting on an injury to get back in.

Really keen to see Ling get a good crack at it soon.

Not bad for a pick 32.

I would agree with that assessment. But everyone contributed and did their jobs - one of those rare games where there isn't a clear person to make way for a returning best 22 player (T.B. I know you don't agree and that's fine, just my opinion).

Speaking of best 22, who would've guessed that Chad and Wicks would be clearly in after 3 rounds, leaving Stephens and potentially JMac outside? Those 2 have just really come from nowhere, continuing our knack of finding diamonds from the rough.

We sliced & diced the Premiers like a Jamie Oliver dinner. They were done by 3/4 time!

McInerney looked like he had one of those games where he did a lot of work for the team. I saw him on a number of occasions running hard with an opponent so that Richmond could not easily find the release kick out wide. His hard running also created a lot of space for others. His link up play looked good.

He and Blakey will have those games where their gut running and ball carrying ability will tear teams apart.

Such a good spot to be in selection-wise. No one really deserves to lose their place. Blakey has probably been in the bottom 4 players for the last two weeks but has also shown glimpses.

Perhaps Reid is the next “tall” to get managed. He has a history of soft tissue injuries and could do with a rest with a 5 day break.

I wouldn’t be resting the young guys yet.

Wouldn't be averse to this. McLean has done everything asked of him and more in his 2 games. If Campbell is a bit sore, he can make way for Rowbottom, JMac can drop back and play more off HB.

Illuminating reading however I will summarise it for you to save you the effort of having to do some research.
Overall ahead of Kennedy Florent and Parker at the same age but behind Mills who has benefitted statistically from spending the first few years of his career in defence. RB is just 20 years old and while he is not quite the bull you long for he soon will be.
Your assessment of him seems to be based on emotion not evidence or facts ?
What do their numbers at the same age matter ? They are better than him now. Warner is better than him now and he is one year younger ! I would say Rowbottom is about sixth on the list for his position behind Kennedy, Parker Mills Warner and Florent. Why would we drop an outside player for an average inside mid ? It doesnt make sense.

Theres no emotion in it. He is a decent player thats it. Doesnt get enough of the ball to make up for how non-damaging he is with it. Did you see Warner yesterday ? Every possession he breaks away , he moves it forward, he takes the tackler on and he runs and carries. RB doesnt do any of that because he cant. The "facts" are that ive seen nothing from him to suggest he will be anything special as a player yet here we are willing to screw up our good momentum just to gift him games because we want him to be better than he is. Its insanity. We cant mess with this good thing we've got going

I dont know what to tell you TheBloods. You continue to make statements like Rowbottom isn't quick, he doesn't move it forward or attack. That is the basis for your dislike of him. But i think i speak for many when i say i dont agree with any of it and im not seeing what you are seeing. Not at all! Which makes it very hard to have a discussion with you on this when you are starting it from the point where you dont like this that and the other about Rowbottom and you're not moving. Its more nuanced than that.

Everything ive seen of Jimmy hes an energetic hustler around the contest - charges through, shimmies out of trouble and has a thumping kick to cover the ground. He has seemed plenty attacking enough. Warner might be on another level. Its too soon to tell. But even still - one Swan can be good without another needing to be bad. Per match ups this week i can see why one would not want Rowbottom coming back in and taking midfield opportunities from Mills or Warner , who have been sensational. Either way i have full confidence if the coaches put him back in there then they trust he will be able to do his job. I think they would know better than us.

I feel the most absurd thing is your relentless unwarranted negativity towards him especially given that 98% of other Swans supporters and more importantly the team selectors disagree and rate him as one of the top 22 players at the club.
Hey Faunac8 ignore him his just baiting people.

The numbers matter because that’s how you measure things.
Your opinion is that Warner is better than him again the facts don’t exactly back that up and btw there is only a few months difference in age.
How do outside players get their hands on the ball without inside mids ?
I think rather than you continually bagging him we wait and see what the selectors think moving forward as in all honestly I think we have room for both players in our best 22 but that’s only my opinion.
And if they see no place for him in the best 22 this season I will be happy to acknowledge your perceptive posts.
I now await your expected reply ????
