Some of the kids looked really tired tonight. McDonald, Wicks and Gulden all running out of steam. The loss of Hickey was profound. Buddy and Hayward were outstanding.

Forget the umpires. They had 26 scoring shots so we the scoreline flattered us.

Haven't watched the game yet but pleasingly seems like Hayward has got his mojo back. That's a real bonus if he has because, at his best, he's one of our x factor players and makes a fully fit forward line even harder for oppositions to defend.

I'm worried about our ongoing SCG form

            Agree.

            We learn. We move on.

If Mexican can't cut it, any chance we could give BOC a go?

Would be amazing if O'Connor were selected ahead of Brand and Gould.

I don't agree with that at all, you might just be a bit (understandably) bummed by the result. Most of the game had good signs for both teams, sucks we lost.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

We have lost Don Pyke football and resorted to Longmire boundary line, crash and bash football.

Our young list won’t win many games with crash and bash boundary line football. There young bodies can’t sustain it.

We need to get back to the corridor, high risk, play on high reward football. The young kids enjoy that football.

It seems after one or two mistakes that Don Pyke football is abandoned. We need to keep going with the high risk corridor football and let our young kids play their preferred style.

The opposition might have something to say about that sometimes. You have to be able to adjust during games.

Turning circle of a super tanker and basically incapable of marking the ball. If Gould can't get a game in front of him then Gould must be a write off already.
That comment about Gould is very timely and a bit worrying. You are 100% right L A - Melican was goodish 2 years ago but looks lost.

Gould would start planning his return to SA if that happened. How was Brand's form in the two's I wonder?

Melicans best season will end up being his first....he just hasn't come on.

                          Hideous final quarter.

What happened to the swans of the first 3 weeks?

I think teams have done their homework too - take away the short kicks, crowd the corridor. Kids are tired too - Campbell needs a rest as does Logan.
Horse says Hickey has done is PCL - how long a recovery does that usually take?

He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Melican was ok - wasn't the worst and shouldn't be the scapegoat for a midfield and some of the young guys who ran out of gas. Backline under the pump for a lot of the last quarter when Giants often ran the ball from the back half to the forward line with ease. Don't know who was on Kelly for the ball up but it wasn't Melican.
