Yes, I was hoping that the Suns would have a relatively injury free season, for the first time in their history. It appears that isn't going to happen.Comment

Cruel for him and cruel for them.
What he's done in such a weak side is unbelievable. Give me one young player from rest of comp to pluck out and come to the Swans, and it's him.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Yes, sad news indeed. I hope that re-commits to them. Unless, of course, he wants to go to the Swans! [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]Comment

I found myself wondering "whatever happened to LARS?" - turns out ABC News did too, a few years ago.
Whatever happened to LARS? The miracle ACL surgery that was too good to be trueComment

Caught story on Ch 7 news last Sunday which I haven't heard any noise since, where according to Tom Rockliff, Alaister Clarkson is planning his coacing return next year and has informed Free Agents to hold off re-signing. This led Ch 7 to list all the high profile Free Agents Clarkson could be approaching which included Heeney & Buddy.

To me, it was a bit of shame that the Bengals lost the super bowl, but I suspect that they had the best song.

A few recent articles highlighting the results of a survey by the AFL Fans Association:
Fans take a stand on rule changes, commentary and curtain raisers
‘Stop promoting gambling:’ Betting ads a burning issue in AFL fan survey
Footy fans have spoken, and they’ve had plenty to say
860 people - doesn't seem like a huge number, but then 1000 can be representative if chosen carefully.
Dare I ask for opinionswhat do we reckon, are these the burning issues of the day, is their relative importance what you'd expect?

As for the rest of much of that - a lot a case of fans just wanting to feel like they are occasionally listened too by the AFL. Some good ideas, some not so good ideas no doubt mixed in there."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

In the couple of 'customer experience surveys' (or whatever the AFL called them) that I filled out last season, my major gripe was loud music. In both surveys, I may have went on extended rants, on how I quite liked talking to people near me, but this was rendered impossible, by having my ears bashed with music that I may have enjoyed in the 70s and 80s, but was well over by the 90s. Which also wasn't helped, by being bombarded by some insufferably cheery twat with a microphone, whenever the music stopped. My other gripe was invariably not being able to book a seat in the shade, when there was an afternoon game at Metricon.
As far as rules go, my major problem last season was how much of a lottery holding the ball had become. In that, it seemed almost random if an illegal disposal was penalised or not. Hopefully, the changes that they've announced, will see an improvement in that area.
On methodology, if it was a reputable survey company, being employed by the Fans Association, to call a randomised selection of fans, then 860 fans would probably be enough to give worthwhile results. Alternatively, if it was more like the angriest and/or most motivated fans, filling out a questionnaire, on a website that most people were unaware of, then the results would tend towards meaningless.Comment
