The fact that you'd still consider giving him a contract next year is mind blowing

I simply outlined a scenario in which I could see the club may choose to offer a contract for next season to him, and how they see that he fits to have a spot on the list.
You may interpret through the use of an exceptionally long bow that somehow that translates into my opinion on the matter.
I don't think they should offer him a new contract. That is my actual opinion. But I can see the logic (rightly or wrongly) of how they might reach a point where they consider doing so.

Six-year deal for Isaac Heeney. Free agent off the table. Signed to 2028. Monster result for Sydney

Love this club.
Well done all who put this together.
Really great to have kids come to the club through the Academy and have genuine lifelong passion.Comment

Really pleased that Isaac has signed a long term deal. Also pleased that he signed at the start of the season, because I suspect that he'll have the sort of season, that would have added a fair few dollars to his contract value. Although, I suspect that any money that may have been saved by that guy going to Adelaide, may have just been allocated.
Also, in the last day or so, almost always when I try to access the site by my mobile and sometimes by my laptop, I get the message, "this site can't be reached" and the reason given is, DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. Are other people having the same problem?Comment

Talks have begun with Logan with the Swans offering a 4-year extension. The above article clearly demonstrates his agent leveraging by using the options of the 2 WA teams as a factor in the decision. Good to see the Swans are on the front foot and showing how keen they are to keep him which is all we can do i suppose.Comment

Hope that the recruitment of the other WA boys (including Don Pyke) along with mate ships forged plus WA now introducing covid restrictions, will have helped reduced Logan's flight risk. 4 year offer signals how serious the club values Logan in the medium term at least.Comment

That’s obviously his job but discretion might be a better approach until Logan is actually ready to jump ship. Can’t see how it benefits Logan to have his negotiations play out publicly. That’s never been the Swans wayComment

Loved reading McDonald’s manager repeatedly talking about his option to go back to WA if he wants to and getting as much as his ceiling potential might be worth
