No official announcements to date from the Club about Ollie re-signing? I believe on Ch 7 a few weeks back that they said he was set to re-sign for 2 years. I wonder how that's progressing?

Largely agree with this. He loves Horse, loves the club, loves the lifestyle, loves the players.
I'd only make two exceptions. He and Wilbur are basically married. If Wil ever left it might open the seeds of doubt. Or, if the club decided it really needed to get truly brutal decisions on the list to progress it, he's not in the same category as others'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

I remember they came to our club at the same time, but didn’t know they were married????Largely agree with this. He loves Horse, loves the club, loves the lifestyle, loves the players.

Careful with statements like that. How do you know he loves horse and the players...is it because he hugs them or the fact he doesn't flip them the bird ???? ????????Comment

Brown on the Ch 9 footy show said today that he thinks the Swans should let Lloyd go as a free agent and hope to get a decent pick in the draft in return. His rationale it will free up some cap space and his type of player is easier to replace.Comment

I’d have no major issue with this. Salary cap management is a fact of life and whilst Lloyd is a good player I don’t doubt we can replace him adequately.
Especially if Tasmania get the nod with the raft of tainted drafts to follow I think we could be well advised to go hard again at the draft this year. I assume we’d get something similar to why we got for Hewett ?Comment

My opinion is that we need Lloyd's experience/skill if we're in the premiership window next few years, provided he's not asking overs. We let go Hewett & lost Dawson last season and need to be mindful that we have right balance of experience/youth to ensure development of list continues. Not sure if anyone on our list can fill straight into Lloyd's shoes as it does take time to develop a player to do so (as it did with Lloyd himself). He plays a valuable small defender role.I’d have no major issue with this. Salary cap management is a fact of life and whilst Lloyd is a good player I don’t doubt we can replace him adequately.

On the other hand I do see Will Gould as a eventual replacement for Rampe, a attacking defender who can play on both smalls and talls. From all accounts Gould is having a good season in the VFL and even if he doesn't get to debut this season, has hopefully shown enough to re-sign him at season's end with this in mind.Comment

Leaving aside his pair of Skilton's, I wonder whether Ollie's form in the defensive half would have some effect on our list managers perception of Lloyd's replaceability?Comment
