I think we've got decent intensity but they are just better coached and more cohesive as a team with excellent team defence - they always have someone ready to intercept our hacked kicks forward.

Sheldrick is brilliant. Good signs from others too. We're wasting the great marks that Amartey has taken but we're suffering from a lack of proper KPFs.

Sheldrick certainly did his best to keep us in that quarter. He was pretty unlucky to have a HTB paid against him, given an almost identical tackle he laid on a Dees player a few minutes earlier (one arm pinned, swung round several times) wasn't rewarded.

Yes, we've laid more tackles, but the only holding the ball that we got, was the Cunningham one, that was too close to the siren to be useful.
Sheldrick had a great quarter. Bell and Gould were also useful, while Amartey could kick plenty, if he gets it closer to goal.

Ladhams was absolutely smashed by Gawn the last time we played Melbourne in the firsts. No way he should be picked to play on Friday on todays form so far.

Pretty disappointing start by some of our young hopefuls in Roberts and Campbell. Hope they show a bit more from here.

Questionable umpiring with HTB all day. So many not given that should be. But we are trying really hard and playing okay in a game that doesn't really suit our style.

It's a shame, Ladhams best is very good, but his bad is oh so so bad. He seems to have the potential to be a great ruckman but is very inconsistent. He is still young for a ruckman, so fingers crossed!
