Parker is truly magnificent - so rarely does he not have a significant influence on the contest. So consistent week in, week out, but now such a leader too - without JPK there, he is the man that when the chips are down rallies and the troops and says no more! When Melbourne got on the inevitable run in the 3rd and it felt like it might just be slipping away, it was he and Mills in particular, along with Rowy that dragged us into it. They ground just a few minutes of utter manic football, stopped the momentum, and Melbourne never regathered it from there.
And I don't care what the experts say - Mills is the best 2 way midfielder in the game at the moment for mine.
On the subject of JPK - how magnificent to see his smile and genuine happiness in the change rooms in the after game coverage. It must be more than a little gut wrenching for him inside to be watching from the sidelines - even if he is fit, you can't see how he gets into the 22 (though he'd be some handy medi-sub!). But he showed every bit as much excitement as every Swans fan out there tonight - just lovely vision."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

I think many here are missing the most important outcome of tonight's game. And that is that we have an extra week off before having to deal with Ticketek.Comment

Solid contribution that.
Not that I'm looking forward to that messy process the week after next - especially when it will be packed to the rafters (imagine if it is the Pies we are against!)"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

So much to like tonight but special mentions for Hickey and Rowbottom.
Apologies to Parker, Florent, Mills and Gulden for not finding the space to mention them.My opinion is objective truth in its purest formComment

Good to hear. Ollie was superb tonight, arguably our most composed player with the ball. The feet were dancing.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

What is really great, which has been hinted at by some, is that Franklin and Heeney were not that productive tonight, and we still found a way to win by four goals. May is All Australian and is younger than Buddy so it was always going to be a tough night, and we kept bombing it to him in the first quarter and some of the second quarter.
If we can win against a top side like Melbourne with our two leading scorers for the season held to one goal, we have room to improve still in the Prelim
