That 50M penalty was at LEAST 75M

      The ground is very small.

LOL the 50 was not 50. The ground is not that small I have seen it myself.

37 minute final quarter - that only used to happen against Collingwood when they were behind at Victoria Park.

Didn't the centre square touch, or nearly touch, the 50 metre forward lines?

Konstanty was listed as 'managed'; Vickery 'injured'.

Yes, I've been liking Rankin lately. Topped the tackle count today, had the better of his battle with Ginnivan, and his ball use was pretty good. And I was a bit surprised that he was in the team, as I thought that he busted his shoulder last week. Maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked or maybe it was a dislocation that they were able to quickly put back in??

Not sure if he's done quite enough to get a new contract, after a fairly anonymous first season, but he is improving.

Close to but the free was given deep in the back pocket - did you watch the penalty?

How was Stephens game ? See he had the highest AF ranking points on the ground not that means much.
Buller must have been reasonable and Mitchell looks like he got a bit off the ball

Good and not so good with Stephens. Keen attack on the ball, pace away from the stoppages and desire to take the game on were impressive. Conversely, he has to get out of the habit of calling for the ball when there's opponents nearby and consequently turning the ball over. It'd also be nice if he hit more targets.

Buller was good and will only benefit if we manage to get another KPF to join him in attack. I like Mitchell and think he'll play plenty of AFL. Gets into plenty of useful positions, good at winning contested ball and usually looks to attack quickly. Sometimes his disposal isn't that polished, but that should only improve with experience. Wouldn't totally surprise me if he debuted before the end of season.

Mitchell’s been encouraging the last month or so hasn’t he? I suspect he’s still developing his running patterns and power to the level needed to play wing at AFL level, which is an incredibly difficult and taxing position. But he can find it, use it and works hard. He reminds me a bit in style of Blake Acres, in that he doesn’t possess the pure speed of some wingers, but uses gut running to create space and separation. One to watch.

What's Mitchell's background? Is he from our Academy ?

No, from Yarrawonga and played for Murray Bushrangers. Slight draft bolter, in that we took him at 40, where phantom drafts had him going late in the draft.
