McAndrew has faded and Ladhams no influence. Hickey would come in you would think.

I wish Stephens was kicking a bit better he has had a ton of the ball.

Yeah Stephens looks a million dollars striding away from a clearance but then blows it by a poor kick inside 50! I think the commentator nailed it by saying he was undecided whether he was going to go for goal or pass it at times.

Another good qtr across the board though. We have been dominant today!

Another very good quarter. Hickey, Warner, Stephens, Roberts and Cleary well on top around the contests. Francis has stopped plenty in defence. Buller continuing to impress up forward. Mitchell, Shipley and Hall-Kahan effective on the flanks.

I've got a bit more confidence today, than I did last night, in the "first one to 100 wins the game" stat.

What's better than beating Essendon? Beating them twice in 24 hours! GO BLOODS!

It's refreshing to see the Cygnets win, and convincingly too. What a difference having a few experienced Swans in the side working with our young draftees. Earlier in the season, the pressure was on our first and second year draftees after we delisted some of our experience. Now we can gauge the potential of these youngsters going forward.

Watched most of the game , a few thoughts on a couple

Buller, there’s something about this lad even though the first half it didn’t come off for him couldn’t fault his effort . Might not play this year but think he has a huge future

HHK, oozes class doing a lot right and might be in the mix if we want a bit of a different look with Buddy out

Gould, showing some versatility playing forward might sneak one more year on the list if this continues.

Roberts, think he might be sub next week was still managing minutes back from injury but he’s a class above at this level .

Warner didn’t dominate but was a solid 4 qtr effort

Stephens if only he didn’t cough it up his fleet foot through the middle was a site to behold , but alas his kicks into the forward 50 were horrible. If it clicks he will be sone player , sadly I don’t think it will be at the swans .

Mitchell kid has class really building into the season

Hickey great game comes in next week for me

Just my summary of the game-
                    - Hickey dominated the ruck, so he deserves another chance at seniors - not sure of the standard of the opposition.
-Ladham was not used in ruck and looked rusty
-Roberts played a brilliant first half and we need to find a place in the seniors for him. Even if it half back flank.
-Francis and Arnold were very solid down back
                    - Though not many possessions Konstanky showed his class at various times
-Stephens looked good running through the centre with many possessions but his kicks never landed with a Swans player. Not sure what goes through his head?
-Buller was poor early on but a solid second half. Not sure if good enough for seniors berth at this stage.
-Loved Caiden Cleary's game for a 18 year old - I hope he joins us next year.

I wonder what has held HHK from getting a game already this year? Most of the VFL games I've seen, even when we were getting smashed, he looked to have some class around goals.

I hope he is signed on for next year as I reckon he is a very good young player and, at worst, offers a hell of a lot more than Clarke as a sub! Lol.

It is very strange that he hasn't been at least sub. I know Ludwig really rates him.

Clutching at straws here, but HHK plays quite a bit like Wayward and Heeney, perhaps a bit too much to be included with those two?

This is a good point. The other factor is that he has not dominated a game, but in fairness to him, playing in the forward line when the team was decimated with injuries is no easy task. We are seeing noticeable improvement with the addition of senior players returning to the team and this helped

From what I saw and read about Dylan Stephens game I hope the club perseveres with him and in the off season concentrate on his kicking. I think that once it all clicks the sky is the limit for him and I certainly hope so.

                                me too

It appears BJ has made it almost impossible for the snr leadershipp team and coaches to drop him........so where does Dyl fit in?
